Not too many potential RB1s left. I'll take Travis Henry
he's lone gone, isn't he?
5.11 Duke1948 Travis Henry, RB31 Denver
Well, he was righ about "not too many left".It WOULD HAVE been great value......He's on a roll :blackdot:
Who's on a roll, Jeff? I didn't mispick before, did I?I was looking at WSL1 and then back at WSL2. Never occured to me that Duke would have picked him that far ahead of WSL1, although I obviously think he's a decent pick.

Nah, just messin' with you since you timed out too.

I honestly was shocked to see how long he lasted in WSL1.
I think everyone is gunshy with him due to the drug issue and Denver's inconsistency (of picking starters) in the 2nd half of last year. But he did last a good while.
rumor has it he'll be cut by Denver. He's owed alot of money. and really he isnt worth that headache. That team wasnt the same after the whole suspension announcement, even though he won the appeal.

what are the cap ramifications if he's released?

The running backs. The Broncos got a couple headaches and only 691 yards in return for the $6 million they paid Travis Henry last year. It's clear Henry will return in 2008 only if he accepts a substantial pay cut from the $6.7 million he's tentatively scheduled to make.

If the Broncos and Henry can't agree on a new deal, the team will go out and get another lead, power-type back. Selvin Young is ideal for 10 to 15 carries a game, but Shanahan said he's not a 20-to-25 carry back.

"No, definitely not," Shanahan said. "Any time a guy's been hurt as many times as he did, you know that there's no possible way he can carry the ball 20, 25 times a game. The body just won't hold up. He went down too many times this year. But you are looking at a guy that you know has big-play potential."

Shanahan sure went to bat for the guy last year. Seemed to be worth a flyer at 10.5.

oh yeah good enough value where you got him. Duke maybe over paid a little here.Dude's a mess though.

I PM'ed renesauz as he made mention that he might have connectivity issues.

I'll give him the evening to post his picks, if not I will make some picks on his behalf as he requested earlier. I'd rather he pick.....

Guess we're done. See you all tomorrow.

P.S. Clayton and Curry were robbery and Jeff has curry listed twice instead of curry + jerry porter.

Jeff,

How in the world would my clock expire at 8 AM EST? It's an 8 hour clock which is OFF from Midnight till 8 AM, meaning the last pick would have had to have been made at just after 4 PM EST....several hours before it actually was. (It's time stamped 8 PM for me...which is 7 PM EST I think, meaning my clock ran until 11 AM est)

As for my picks:

GB TE Donald Lee

and

Leon Washington

Was irritated by the clock thing, and forgot to double check my picks. Lee is already gone. I'll take Mercedes Lewis instead.

Neat. Hurts to do this... but Engram is getting older, Hackett might walk and Branch is hurt.

10.03 - Nate 'Burly Man' Burleson, WR, SEA

Sorry about the clock issue - obviously the rules supercede my error. I thought the clock was off for just 4 hours (making the window 12 hours long).Anyway, glad to see you arrived and got your picks in.

Stats through ~150 picks:

Players taken by position:

QB - 27

RB - 46

WR - 56

TE - 18

K - 0

D - 0

11 of 16 teams have 2 QBs, all but two teams have 3 RBs, and just now two teams have 5 WRs (most have 3-4). Every team has at least 1 TE.

Just courious wtf you're irritated about? "I'll give him the evening to post his picks, if not I will make some picks on his behalf as he requested earlier. I'd rather he pick....." Sounds like he was just trying to help you out. Did I miss another post that mentioned 8am?

Uggh!!! My list got hacked on the last few picks - Wanted Djax or Leon....

10.4 Laurent Robinson WR Atl

Going with Youth and size on a Boom or Bust TEAM.

Easy BNB - I did the clock math wrong.... I thought it was off for 4 hours overnight, not 8. He would have gone off the clock at noon.My bad - all good now.

10.5 DAVID PATTEN, WR, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
Should've known.....
I think I was the only member of the Patten bandwagon in the 2007 offseason, so I was able to pick him in almost every SSL last year (PDSL; SSL; BDPSL) in round 18 or later. Love his role on the Saints offense, and he's a nice guy to have in survivor leagues where you don't necessarily need him to produce every single week (presuming you draft enough WR).

Very good pick. I'd have been tempted if he made it back to me, even with owning Engram.
I almost took him instead of DJax but went with the upside of DJax and figured one of Battle or DJax should post decent numbers each game.
I've heard a rumor that Isaac Bruce may be a 49er next season. I put it at about 25% chance.Burleson - arguably the quietest 10 TDs last season of anyone. (only Reggie Williams is close, but I put NBurl as quieter).

that was speculation in the martz as the OC thread, unless you have a different source.
