They have rules against incessant chatter but won't enforce them. And if you say something to him he is just going to go at you harder. He wants you to react because then he knows he's in your head. He thinks what he's doing is "gamesmanship" but what it is is just poor etiquette.

I learned along time ago with these guys to just fire back and have fun with them.

They want to get in your head so you make a bad decision
 
What is the least expensive way to watch today, down to around 500 players give or take, there are some great players that will be entertaining to watch, former ME winner still in the field
Poker Go $20 for a 1 month membership?

The next couple days with so many large stacks will be interesting
Seemed like the 1,000-2,000, 1,500-2,500, 1,500-3,000 or whatever levels these were seemed to go on forever and not in a bad way, very entertaining
I think they are at like 10,000-20,000 and then 20,000 on top for the BB which is the ante so action is going to happen, there will be some that try to fold their way to 6 figures

Keep an eye on Mizrachi, he was up over $1M on Day 3 for a quick while and went down to like under $100k as they were getting towards the bubble break
He's back over $2M and I have always admired his style. Yeah yeah he's got an ego but he's really not that mouthy, more traditional poker player that lets his play do the talking.
Mizrachi has won the Players Championship 4x I believe, that's where most of his bracelets have been won. He beats the hell out the pros and many left in the field might not be household names but there are not that many total amateurs left in the field, I think it's setting up well for the seasoned pros to make their run.

Matasow went out around 700th overall, I feel no pity for that guy but I was happy he made the money. I've seen his documentary, again you could feel that type of story always was a possibility when you followed him back in the 2000s when many of us first got to see him on the TV berating Greg Raymer.

The ladies have started to fall back a bit, still hopeful we can see at least one or two hit the final table

Missed most of yesterday with the arrival of Baby Bella, hoping to watch the coverage today if I plunk down the money, probably worth it for the next few days

I oddly liked Matusow. I think it's probably because he was juxtaposed with Hellmuth (though Phil has oddly grown on me over the years as my arm chair psychologist's take is that he's probably on the spectrum so his tantrums arguably aren't his fault).

You might like that quick write up from last night, also shows this Will Kassouf which I promise if you ever see him on TV you'll never forget him
I have a feeling he's going far, the other players would be wise to wear head sets and ignore him as much as possible, make him gas himself out

No DNegs or Hellmuth left but I still feel the quality of many of the remaining players is way up the charts and some super high levels of poker are about to unfold
It seems like the 3-bet is the main factor and then defending the big blinds, these two elements trigger the most ALL-IN hands. Most of the amateurs want to end it pre-flop and know they will likely be outplayed post-flop where as the pros like to invite the lesser hands into the mix and then trap them. The players that can fold AK preflop against raises and 3-bets and not shove all in only to face AA/KK or at best a coin flip, those are likely to be the players that can keep on moving.

Also I would expect some massive lead changes and someone perhaps going up over $10M in chips at some point today.
$50k in the pot every hand to start today without even a raise. Most players will be risking between 10-20% of their stack to try and steal the blinds,
$1M in chips isn't what it was a few levels ago.

I have such a full schedule the rest of the day, I hope if I buy the Poker Go membership later tonight that I can start at the beginning and watch as many hands as I can
It has me wanting to start looking for weekend tournys at the Hard Rock a little South of me in Ft Lauderdale, a few in the remaining field use that as their home base

I don't mind Kassouf, and it seems very rare for him to be inappropriate towards other players or the dealers. Martin Kabrhel on the other hand... he talks more than Kassouf and also will take extended time on EVERY decision. He's miles ahead the next guy when it comes to most annoying to have at your table.

Bradley Owen is another solid player that is still in it - he's mostly known for his Youtube channel and being one of the co-owners of the Lodge poker clubs in Texas with Doug Polk and a few others.

He is from where I grew up in Northern California and seems like a genuinely nice guy, so is easy to root for.

There's a reason he's still playing. He talks in hands he's in and isn't abusive. Kabrhel talks the entire time, whether in a hand or not, and even that isn't met with a penalty.

ETA - I'm not talking about WSOP specifically. Kassouf is a master at speech play. It's easy to see how that can turn someone off, but he is rarely abusive. He's not Phil Hellmuth.

What he is doing is against the rules. He's a good player for sure, but what he is doing is indefensible.
 
I should also add if you just want to track what’s going on live, you can download the WSOP+ app and track the status of all the tournaments - time in each level, how many players, who is left, etc. Chip counts aren’t live for everyone, players can self report and they do a pretty good job updating the chip counts on the breaks.

You can search for a player in the tournies to see if they are still alive, and for tournies that are running you can see all the seat assignments and check out who is at each table. And all the results someone has had is linked to their WSOP account so you can easily see how many bracelets/rings, final tables, cashes and for how much any player has had in WSOP events.

The entire series runs on the app from buying in to your tournies, getting seat assignments, etc. And it has every tourney from the bracelet events to all of their daily tournies.

30:38 into this video highlights from yesterday and Kassouf takes up the rest of the video for his pocket AA, way too long going back and forth

-Again, I blame the directors of the tournament for allowing it to go beyond a certain point.
Kassouf talks so much that I guess he has to keep jibber jabbering even when he has a hand because the biggest tell would be to watch him play cards and suddenly shut up

The sad part is the guy has the best hand AA and should just go in the tank and ignore him, another player calls for a clock so you know its gotta end soon

Lol, Benger took 90% of the heat on this one, and justifiably so.
 
Kassouf already has had a clock called on him today...took the full 30 seconds before folding and I don't really know the details beyond that
Several in the first few hands today have already busted out

Poker Go once again yesterday gave away about a 6 hour preview which was terrific and most of it was just 1 table which was fine by me

Crazy moment there with Kassouf. He got up in the middle of a hand, walked toward the other side of the table to get a look at somebody's stack and they declared his hand dead. He had an open-ended straight draw on the flop too. Was likely raising.

Sounds the floor man or whoever was in charge walked over to the table and he was up out of his seat by the dealer claiming to get a better look at his opponents chip stack because we've all been there before haven't we?

Leon Sturm is a lot fo fun to watch, he tormented Hellmuth on Day 2 and Phil was very insulting to the young man. I find his play quite lively and he mixes it up, if you didn't see his hole cards you would have no idea what he has. He was around 50th last I checked

Kassouf was way up at the top early today like you posted, seems like he is spiraling down since they killed his hand, lost his mojo suddenly
 
Just missed day 2 of 3k torse yesterday. Played at 6 different tables in six different seats. Tables were 6 handed.

Ended on a table with David Williams on left, Josh arieh and Roland I on my right. Had a great time.

Started table with 73k. Lost 4 or 5 tough hands. Was down to 3k

Last year in a razz event, late day 1, I spun 4k into 3rd place 700k with 27 left.

Got all in. Stud 8. 55A to start. My 5s held up for high. Rivered a 6 for a 76 low, and scooped 12k.

Omaha 8. KQ23.

Flop was AJ8. Turn was a 10 for Broadway. River was a 7 for nut low. Scooped arieh for 39k.

Studvhigh. Q5 down. Q up. I completely and Williams calls with 7 up.

He had 76 down.

On 6th he caught a pair of 8s. And i didnt catch a pair and busted in an 80k pot

Hand oretty much summed up wsop for me this year. Start out hands way ahead and then dont improve and see someone catch up. Yesterday I lost all 5 hands in stud when I started ahead with queens. Thats poker.
 
Theo Tran opened-jammed for 1,750,000 from the cutoff. Will Kassouf was in the small blind, and asked for a count despite knowing Tran covered his stack. Kassouf explained that he wanted to see how much he was jamming into Tomas Szwarcberg for.


"Nine big blinds like a boss," commented Kassouf, referencing Tran's stack.


Adam Hendrix, who has repeatedly called the clock on Kassouf, told the dealer "Clock like a boss."


The floor came over to begin the countdown, with Kassouf calling before his time expired.

Kassouf was flipping for his tournament life, and essentially sealed the checkmark after making a set on the 9♣8♥4♠ flop. He filled up to confirm the double-up after the 4♥ turn ahead of the 5♦ river completing the board.


Kassouf then had some choice words for everyone at the table


"Top set, full house, drawing dead, drawing dead," said Kassouf as he won the hand.


"Now we've got a game. I'm coming for all of you. I'm coming for every single one of you. I'm fearless, ruthless, and relentless. I will not stop until I get what I want."


"I will not rest until I've won, and God help any of you who dares to stand in my way. You have been warned"

Can't believe Kassouf is still alive. Survived a couple of coin flips. Hanging on with a small stack all day.
 
Another penalty! They brought security guards over to his table to take him away. Guy is out of his mind.

It's one thing to make everyone hate you but then to get himself banned from the remaining WSOP events and festivities, they did not want him on the rails or anywhere near the final table if he wanted to enter the building and try to get the spotlight.

-He's a decent player, he's proved it but the ranting and raving is simply more than the WSOP is going to endure. They really don't need him, they've been stacking money since before he was born so I don't think Jack Effel was going to tolerate much. Once it reached his level or he didn't have to manage 500 tables at the same time. Once Effel was focused on him, his shenanigans were going to end one way or the other. Effel didn't even want part of his act when he was semi-apologizing but still trying to plead his case and ask for exceptions.

I give the chip leader credit when he sent Will packing, he never complained about his antics one time, the rest of the table was happy he was gone.
Hendrix last night bought ear plugs for every person at the table after the dinner break so they could try and drown him out.
His constant getting up from the table got old as well, bad sportsmanship walking behind your opponents when they are trying to see their hole cards after you folded.
 
Afriat played the worst hand of the tournament
Plays 8-6o out of the SB I beleive, BB had like K-9 or something

Flop is 8-3-8, turn card was a J and the river Afriat fills up his boat with a 6
8s full of 6s and his opponent raises all in on the river and all Afriat has to do is call but he apparently never saw the 6 in the river, all he repeats is his 8s and how he thought he had the hand and continues to muck his cards to the dismay of the announcers, he had like $25-$30M to start the day and IMP played just about the worst of all the players on Day 7

Mizrachi was up and down, late int he day he loses wot Leo Margets and one of the secrets in the ME was cracked when Mizrachi says after the ships all go in, "I 3-bet her, she's gotta fold" but Margets hold 7-7 and she ade a stand and probably got tired of every guy 3-betting her hands and after enough TV time from all the tables, A-Suited seems like a standard 3-bet so I give her major props for flipping the tables, it's been her vs 100 Men for a while now and she's still standing.

Kenny Hallaert has a ton of tournament experience including the WSOP, has many Top 50 finishes around the globe. I thought the announcers said he made a final table once at the ME but that is not true or I misheard. I could only find 1 final table at the WSOP for him so this is likely as far as he's ever been and like everyone else, kind of a once in a lifetime opportunity to get this far, he will be a difficult out from here on.

Mizrachi will need to try and take out other folks at his table today with similar stack sizes and go from there. 2 of the biggest stacks are at his table, I would stay out of their way if possible. But he's Mizrachi and he probably won't shy away if he has a decent hand. he doesn't care about the money right now.

I give Youtube and Poker Go a lot of credit for a ton of free viewing on Table "C" yesterday, that was where Khassouf eventually landed and ended out his run, ou got to see it all unfold
I have no idea if they will do anything close to that today but it had to bring in a lot of viewers who normally don't watch.

Braxton Dunaway will be on the same table he is to start the day, $51M in chips, see if the two biggest stacks will clash
 
Hallaert is a big time tournament director himself so it was that little bit extra excellent that he ended Kassouf.

Afriat is an interesting case himself and was a major anti-sweat for a lot of folks as he has a bad habit of threatening to dispose of people Goodfellas trunk-in-car style.

Also funny that Afriat made a comment that Kassouf could be much more likable if he toned it down a bit :lmao: considering that last sentence of mine.

Hallaert also made day 5 three years in a row (2015, 2016, and 2017) which is crazy in these deep fields. He finished 123rd, 6th, and 64th so he knows his way around.
 
Down to 16 and there are roughly 6-7 players all between 15-25 blinds, Leo Margetz had a monster hand involving JJ and she needed running clubs to make a flush and steal it in the river
That sent Sergio home. Mizrachi was way up but now down again, no gimme he makes the final table yet.
Blinds are outrageous at this point, whatever the BB is you have to double it to pay the ante so it's almost impossible to fold to 2x blind raises
