My son wants to be able to buy games and/or stuff for the Xbox. What is the proper thing to get? Not Xbox Live right? Isn't that just so you can play online? Do they have like gift cards for the online store or what? Whatever the product, what is the best way to get it? Do places like Amazon have deals, or is it just like any other gift card where you get what you pay for? TIA.

These go on sale sometimes. Not usually from sites like Amazon. You are correct that you don't want an XBox live card.

You can but gift cards at CVS etc
