Someone just gave me an XBOX 360 Elite that they say is about four years old. Do I need to get the Kinect thing to play most games, or am I good to go?

There are approximately 2.5 good Kinect games. You're good without it.

Didn't want to create a whole other thread so I figured I'd post this in here.

I'm searching for this game (Skyrim) on Xbox and I'm a little pissed that I passed on a Black Friday sale to get this game for $25...anyway, what's the difference, in play (or anything) from the full game downloads and the actual game on the disc?

TIA

I'm not sure there is a difference. One allows you to start the game without a disc, but will use hard drive space and the other requires use of the disc. Even with disc, you can install to hard drive, but it requires the disc to start the game. You'll get faster load times, and a much quieter dvd drive, this way.I'm not sure whether you're a PC gamer or not, but if you are, I recommend waiting until tomorrow thru next week to see if Steam puts Skyrim on sale. I'd recommend the game on PC more, since you'll get full support of mods, which add a huge amount of content that you won't get from the console versions. That's not to say that the XBox version is bad in comparison (although I've heard the PS3 version is atrocious), so if you don't have this option, don't worry.

Faster load times with the disk?

No, I was referring to when you install game from disk. It still requires the disk to play, but it's faster. It'll be the same way downloaded, but won't need the disk to launch.

Another Xbox 360 question.

I bought a 360 for my kids at Christmas, set everything up, and bought a 360 Live Gold account. Now I just can't get my kids profiles set up on Live. I have them set up on the online portion of Microsoft Account (where you have to go and pay $0.50 to make sure you are there are their parent.)

I once set up profiles online and matched them to their Microsoft Account, but then (after a lengthy conversation with a Microsoft agent) realized that would mean my kids would have to give up their existing profiles. No good.

How do I do this? When I go thru the motions on the Xbox, I get a notice saying that I can't do it because they are too young. But I have set up these Microsoft Accounts OK'd online.

Anyone done this before? TIA,

Tab (RB) all the way to the right to where it says Settings > choose System and then Storage and then choose your hard drive. Go into Games and Apps and scroll down to your Skyrim. Press (Y) to access the options and choose Delete. That will delete them all. If you want specific ones deleted, I think you'll have to do it from within the game if it will allow it.

You can delete specific ones from in the storage menu as well, it's just going to be difficult to figure out which is which.

I couldn't remember if you could.
