Yahoo Fantasy Football (1 Viewer)

Got this email today.

Dear Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football customer:

This is a message to inform you that we are no longer charging a fee for StatTracker, our live scoring application for Fantasy Football. Our records indicate that you have already purchased a Plus Team for the 2009 season.

Because of this change in programming, we are lowering the price of Plus Teams to $14.95. As a courtesy, your account will be automatically refunded for the full amount of each team purchased at the original $24.99 with additional teams 50% off ($12.50) price. You and your league's other managers may continue to access these Plus Teams at no additional cost. There is no action required from you. Please allow 3-4 weeks for the refund to be processed.

If you need further assistance, please contact us using this online Help form and we will gladly assist you: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/footballplus/general.html. Thank you for being a loyal Yahoo! Customer.

Sincerely,

The Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football team

Do they track the League History in the free Yahoo website? Thanks,
Yes, all Yahoo leagues have League History Feature.(And everyone was dogging Yahoo! in a early post/thread here and I stood up for yahoo, funny how things change.)

Can you run waivers in a free Yahoo league? As of last year you couldn't.
They've added options for weekly waivers and also FAAB.
 Sweet. I've been in Yahoo leagues by default for a few years. The history is all there. It's nice that they will enhance the ways to do Waiver stuff. Last year they added Keeper designations, which was cool. Plus, I can use the $9.95 from StatTracker to buy a Brett Favre Jets jersey now. Now, on the mocks...will the computer-run teams draft 3 QBs and 3 kickers before round 10 like CBS? I am actually sold on fantasyfootballcalculator.com.

This might seem like a great thing but the truth may be connected to how bad the baseball Stattracker has been. It is so slow people are posting about it POd. I usually pay for it but seriously find it way too slow this year and won't buy it next year.

This is what has sucked about the few mocks I've done on Yahoo this week. The teams on autopick draft a defense around rounds 8 - 10 and a kicker shortly after that. The first 7 rounds are solid but after that the mock goes astray. The ffcalculator cu draft programming is superior to Yahoo!.

(colston owner  ) is there a way to designate keepers for an online draft in Yahoo?
Yes, on Keepers Option, No on Coltson (that is fixed now), and yes FFC's cpu bot drafter is better. (But I didnt know you wanted a draft full of bots, anyway?? If you do, then Yahoo! wouldnt be for you, :goodposting: )

The dirty little secret on Yahoo! autodrafting ... Yahoo! will draft ALL your starters first before you get any bench players. As a result, Rounds 7-9 are usually a TE, D, and K. Round 10 is always a back-up RB or QB.

There is (was? maybe they fixed it) a way around this.

In the few I did, some of the real people may have benefited from being on "autopick".
