EVen though I am using specifics I think this question applies to everyone and is not a WDID question. Yahoo league.

So I have David Wilson on my bench, and would like to give him this one last game to show something before dropping him. If he's on my bench, and I wait until after the game to drop him, can I drop him for a player on Friday? Or would I have to wait until after Waivers end on Wednesday to be able to use him as my drop?

depends on how your league waivers are set up. Some leagues waiver period is the first game of the week through Wednesday morning and some are Sun-Wednesday morning. My league uses the latter, and if you league does also I believe you'd be able to drop him and pick up a player friday

Yes, in Yahoo, you can drop bench players after they've played and use that spot to pick up another player (so long as the player you're picking up is a FA).
