Your Bedtime TV Pleasure (2 Viewers)

I'm gonna share something I've never shared. ASMR videos on YouTube right before bed. Its weird. I don't know why it started. It relaxing. I shared something about me personally so don't be mean. Ha ha
Had no idea this exists. Interesting.
ASMR. Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Just a calming voice. Hand movements. Almost like someone trying to hypnotize u. Kinda. I have a few 10 minutes clips that are my favorite I generally watch. I have a busy mind and this slows my thoughts. It really just shuts my mental and physical body down. Relaxing. Drifting. Then sleep. Its weird.

I've been watching The Prisoner (on Prime)

Synopsis: After he resigns, a secret agent is abducted and taken to what looks like an idyllic village, but is actually a bizarre prison. He refuses to give his warders information while attempting to escape.

I get a Lost feel from it, if Lost had a budget of $0.67. But it is intriguing.

If you find an ASMR streamer (preferably a woman) who whispers train sounds, please let me know.

Has anyone posted the laugh emoji to the ______ Passed Away Today, RIP thread yet?

Loved that show. Mike Myers obviously also did when he had his own #2 for Austin Powers.

SPECTRE's #2, Emilio Largo from Thunderball was another inspiration.

Seinfeld, Impractical Jokers, Family Guy or something from YouTube like Hot Ones or a compilation of stand-up comedian.

Yes, but aside from flashbacks and different eras, the same actor played #2 consistently. Not so with the Prisoner.
I can't think of another show where the actor playing a character changed week-to-week.
Anyone?

Funny, just yesterday I saw this was on Prime and added it to our list of next shows to watch. Especially to hear the lines from the Iron Maiden song of the same name!

I can't come up with one where job security was so fleeting. I liked that each week #6 was confronted with a different #2. Each one had a different way of trying to crack him, with various methods of good cop/ bad cop strategy.

Usually only watch "bedtime" TV on the weekends and it's usually late. I'll just flip channels. A perfect find would be old B movies. I know I could stream whatever I want, but I find channel flipping to be less of a commitment for when I want to go to sleep. Usually end up on Iron Chef America or Ridiculousness.

Always the latest series that we haven't seen yet. Can't stand watching reruns of any kind, but, I guess it might make sense if you're trying to fall asleep.

Never had one growing up and preferred it that way, but it was a package deal with my wife.

Use to be Simpsons, Night Court, Cheers and whatever was on Fox (pre cable). Now I think I've 'seen' every single episode of Forensic Files at least twice, along with just about every who-done-it type streaming show. Probably about half of the docuseries on Zodiac, Manson, type killers.

PSA: If I fall off the face of the earth, she did it, and there's zero chance you'll catch her. Probably been stashing 'necessary items' for decades.

Thankfully we've pivoted to Ancient Aliens, and ancient architectural wonders type shows.

For the most part I can treat them like white noise, but I sleep much lighter than she does and there are certain shows that are off the list because for whatever reason if I wake up enough to hear it, I'm hooked and might as well get up for the day regardless of time.
- All the Law and Orders are a hard no
-movies are all out
-cooking shows are a no no
-the recent Aaron Hernandez series sucked me in every time (at least enough to tick me off and get up to change it).

I watch one episode of whatever show I'm currently binging on at the moment, currently on one of the middle seasons of White Collar. I've got a list similar to @Scoresman and I just chug through them one episode per day.

Could I interest you in train videos?

Started re-watching How I Met Your Mother before bed recently. First few seasons are so good. I had forgotten how good they were.
Such a great show right until the final season. As you probably remember, just don't watch the last season :) Episode after episode of non funny disappointment.

I clicked on your first train video and the detail/views were amazing. No chance I could watch that more than a minute but it was pretty cool :)

Me- yes, her -no.

And if she says yes, she's making another contingency plan and I would be terrified...
