#2 seed up against the #3 seed, and boy did my opponent land some sick matchups.

Rudi Johnson against the COLTS

Frank Gore against the SEAHAWKS

Jamal Lewis against the BROWNS

I'm just glad that the Manning / Harrison combo got knocked out last week.

I'd be facing them for the 3rd straight years in a playoff and they knocked me out the previous two.

Plus, I didn't want to wait until Monday night to have my game decided.

 
I am upset with how the seedings shook out in my league. I am the #1 seed and was scheduled to play the winner of the 4 vs. 5 matchup. My issue is in the 3 vs. 6 matchup, the 6 seed pulled the upset and now our #2 gets the #6, and I get to play the #4. What makes it even worse is his matchups are sweet.......Alexander vs. the 9ers.....Palmer vs. the Colts.....Wayne vs. the Bengals....Ravens D/ST vs. the Browns.

Sorry to vent.

I like the idea of reshuffling after each round so that the highest seed plays the lowest remaining. It's not like there's travel or TV concerns. Good luck. :lmao:

We actually changed our league's rules to prevent this. We now follow the seedings rather than the brackets.

Thats how our seedings are in my dynasty league as well. I dont like it. I am the #1 see and I have to play the #3 seed instead of the #5 seed. Aside from LT, I dont like my matchups at all. My opponent does have SJax against the Raiders, Driver against DET, DJax against SF (if healthy), and the Ravens against the Browns. :goodposting:

my league is thinking of changing this as well. The top two teams in the league are in the same division, I'm the second best team and will probably play next week barring any upset. The #1 seed is a little pissed that he only lost one game all year, but is going to have to play me to get to the Super Bowl.
 
In league A I'm playing against Deuce, Jul Jones, Palmer, and Chad Jonson

In League B I will play Deuce, Palmer, Chad Johnson, and maybe Julius.

The only bright spot in league A is that I would have been playing the LT2 owner but he lost to the Palmer owner. Make sense?

Between my two leagues I am playing against (on Monday night)...Palmer, Rudi, C Henry, Manning, and Harrison. Don't know if I can watch.

I hope they cancel the game...

I love Rudi, but he's been consistently under-achieving all season. Only 5 times in 13 games has he scored more than 13 FP, only twice has he broken 16. Last year against the Colts he rushed for 76 yards. He hasn't been a solid performer this year in my opinion.Just never know when Carson will decide to start throwing to his WRs instead of handing the ball off sometimes.

I suppose.I'm actually in the exact reverse situation as you: I have LT, and I'm going against Rudi and LJ. You think you're in trouble... I think I'm in trouble.Wait, are you my opponent?
 
My nightmare is over. I'd been in first place all season, and was the #1 seed playing the #8 who'd won only five games all season. I scored the highest points on the league last weekend, but so did the #8, and I ended up losing the arbitrary Yahoo tiebreaker.

Looks like some good matchups for my opponent but the higher the expectations the sweeter the victory when I take this chump down when I throw out my scrapped together team as follows:

I'm putting Vince Young back on my bench this week vs JAX since they shut down the run very well and should ??? limit VY's running advantage. I'm curious to see how Vince plays since the last time he played JAX he had 3 INT's and 1 fumble to go along with his 13-36 163 yds passing and 4 rushes for 14 yds. This should be a great test for VY and we'll get to see if he's learned anything.

 
I have Peyton Manning on Monday night against Cincy. My opponent has Wayne and Harrison as his 2 WRs.

Not sure how I feel about that scenario. But considering passing TDs are worth 4 and rushing / receiving TDs are worth 6... I'm rooting for 2 QB sneak TDs and a TD pass to Utecht.

That sucks. Just curious to find out if you guys use fractional scoring or if it rounds off to the whole number? colts could constantly put 8 in the box...colts could go up 3 scores and bengals would have to pass alot...etc..there are many ways(i have rudi so of course im going to think the worst..lol)

IND was seriously embarrassed by JAX last week that ran for over 300 yds and Dungy knows that they have to make some changes to be a legit Super Bowl contender. IND has excellent pass def so it will be interesting to see if they stop playing the pass so strong and lean more towards stopping the run. I hope so since I'm playing Chad Johnson @ IND this week.
 
I made the playoffs in 3 of the 5 pay leagues I'm in. In all 3 leagues, I face Peyton Manning. I'm a huge Colts fan, this sucks ....

 
Going up against LT and I HAD Kevin Jones,FTaylor and Deangelo. My recievers are good though, have Holt/Owens and Booker. Just praying that LT doesn't go off and FTaylor can cancel him out somehow.

That is some seriously bad luck dude. Fred Taylor is not a given either since he tweaked his hammy at the end of the game last week and MJD could be used more if they give Taylor some time to heal. I'm real cuious to learn the extent of Fred's injury.
 
I have Rudi. That's about where my offensive upside ends.

Ronnie is out, Jordan never materialized, so I have to start Marion Barber as #2RB. Unless I want to start Arlen Harris...
DJax is out, so I have to start Hines Ward or Mike Furrey along with Boldin and L. Coles

My Nightmare

Seeds 1 & 2 get a bye. I'm the 2nd highest scorer. I'm the #3 seed because TeamA gave TeamB an easy win by not updating his lineup in time. I miss out on #2 spot by one game.

I dont get a bye and face TeamA (#6 seed) in first playoff round.

I have CJ, he has Carson and TJ. Carson throws 3 TDs. None to CJ. 1 to TJ. :shrug:

I have Steve Smith. Delhomme misses first game. Smith gets nuthin. :yes:

I have Dunn. Dunn plays Tampa & is hurting. Don't even start him. :bag:

I have Chester Taylor. Taylor misses his first game. I play Fason. :wall: :wall: :wall:

I have Colston (TE eligible). Colston is still hurt. Can't wait till 7:30 game to play him. Play Bo Scaife (0 pts). :wall:

I have Pittsburg D. Shutout until end of game. Pitt lets Braylon scores on 40 yd play on 4th & 3 because game's already over. :wall:

I have Robbie Gould. Has not missed a field goal all season (aside from 1 block). Goes 0 for 2 in FGs this game. :wall:

He has Willie Parker. Breaks Pitt's all-time single game rushing record. :wall:

He has Minnesota Defense. Tears up the effing Lions. :wall:

Still barely lose to the guy who let teamB slip to the #2 spot.

I play the points leader who finished second in his division, but has realed off 10 wins in a row.

He has LT, Brees, Duece, Bolden,and Colston. I am scared.

I have FWP (bad matchup) T. Jones (splitting carries), Caddy (ugh), Droughns (bigger ugh) at RB.

Yep.....I'm dreading this matchupNot only that, but my opponent has the Bears D and they're facing Tampa in Chicago. I figure he's staring at 30 points right there just from those 2. This week he had a bye at 11-2, I outscored his team 83-60 this week when it didn't matter. I'd love to get through this week because my week 16 matchups are about as good as anyone could ask for.
 
Unfortunately I play Rudi in both my playoff matchups. I'm really hoping its one of those unpredictable NFL things where there's absolutely no reason a guy shouldn't go off against a team, and then for whatever reason doesn't. At least that's how it works when I have said player.

Other problem with multiple leagues is that I face Hass, Gore, FWP and Holt - all guys I also own in either league. I'm sure alot of guys here run into that. Makes it real hard figuring out who and what to cheer for.

 
Our playoffs start this week thur week 17.

I got the #1 seed and get a bye, but would have liked the 2 seed better.

1 plays winner of 3-6

2 plays winner of 4-5

The format is changing next year to highest seed plays lowest seed.

Ahem. Holding at 13 FPs, 73 yards and a TD with 15 minutes left to play, and the Bengals about to go to the air. His running was great in the first half, but he's been stuffed often since then. Unless they get a pass interference in the end zone, or some other long pass play that sets up a goal-to-go situation, I don't see much more for Rudi tonight.

Was up 102-55 going into MNF. Opponent had Manning and Harrison, and I had Chad Johnson. I am now losing 109-105 and CJ just got taken to the locker room. Unbelievable Harrison gets 3 TD's... :angry: Come on Chad, don't you know my fantasy season depends on you coming out of the locker room?
