Is this wishful thinking? That they could give Diles a shot to start at MLB over the rookie Foster?

looks more like a depth signing to me. he can likely replace McKenzie as the backup inside but also fill in on the outside if injuries hit.

I agree with Rud on this one. Diles is a Tampa 2 WLB with enough talent and instinct to be a #1 backup at any LB position. Solid depth addition who may shine if he gets the oppurtunity.
