SDI'm deciding between Stacy and Mathews. Pain in the ### is that the concern with both is the same thing. Their team getting blasted and having to abandon the run.
So who has the better shot to keep it close....SD or StL?

I don't know man, I love your optimism, but agree with the multiple naysayers who posted before you. Really think the Rams get their doors blown off. Don't care that they're at home. Seriously considering Dammit Donald Brown vs Houston at home over him in PPR.Im rolling with Stacy. I actually like the matchup. NO has had very pedestrian numbers on the road vs the run (Ivory gashed them for 139/1, Ridley got them for 96/2, Steven Jackson went 63/1, even Doug Martin rumbled for 144 yrds in what was probably his best game of the season). I think the Rams can keep it relatively close with their heavy pass rush and ball hawking on the defensive side of the ball - while Im not expecting top 5 #'s from Stacy I can easily envision 80 yrds with a very good chance at a score. I'll take it from my RB2.
you'd seriously consider D. Brown over Stacy? Like RunMan said this is a no-brainer start for Stacy..Saints are bad on the road..I don't know man, I love your optimism, but agree with the multiple naysayers who posted before you. I'm struggling deciding between Stacy and Morris this week. My main concern was the possiblity of the Rams falling way behind, but I like this info. Thanks for posting it.Last week, Stacy received 7 carries and 3 pass targets in the first half when the game was close. When the Rams were down by 14+ points in the second half, Stacy received 7 carries and 1 pass target.
In the same boat as you and I'm going with Stacy. Can't trust Spiller at all. Stacy has a higher floor, I'm just looking for something consistent.Interesting points here. I'm weighing a Stacy v Spiller decision, and am pretty sure I'm going with Stacy. The 14 carries for 25 yards vs the Cardinals is the outlier on his usage this year. 26 carries vs the Seahwaks. 27 carries vs the Titans. Both of these were games the Rams lost, so I'm guessing we could see a line like 18-110 with a TD even if the Saints put up 30 pts.
What a terrible post. Stacy is averaging 15.9 points per game in my .5 ppr league with Clemens as his QB. What are you talking about?Kellen Clemmons is their qb.
Dildo alertIt's over folks. This guy is a marginal talent who went on a nice hot streak. Samkon Gado part VI.
lol....we will see on Sunday. I look forward to bumping this up when he drops his 6 point masterpiece. What a terrible post. Stacy is averaging 15.9 points per game in my .5 ppr league with Clemens as his QB. What are you talking about?Kellen Clemmons is their qb.
ETA: He has a real shot at rushing for 1,000 yards this season. Some other recent rookies to do so: ADP, Marshawn, Addai, Caddy, Willis, Portis, LT2, Edge. Of all those guys only ADP and Addai has done it in under 270 carries (238 and 226, respectively).
Stacy is on pace to carry 232 times.
But yeah, marginal talent.
So you are predicting 60 total yards, no TD's. I look forward to your bump as well.lol....we will see on Sunday. I've been thinking the same thing for a while. Both have adequate but unimpressive speed, both have excellent power and balance. I think Morris is a bit more powerful, but Stacy has more lateral agility.FWIW, this guy reminds me of Alfred Morris some.

Which 2? I'll be making the Spiller or Stacy decision next summer.Man, I will have a hard time deciding which two RBs to keep... And I got really scared when Stacy went down without contact last night!
Zac Stacy brushed off the hip injury he sustained on the opening drive of Sunday's win over the Saints.
Stacy missed just one drive and then returned to put a 28/133/1 line on the Saints. "I just took a shot ... (the doctors and trainers) fixed it up for me and I went back out there," he said. Stacy may rest a little during practice this week, but he'll be fine for a home game against the Bucs in fantasy's Super Bowl week. The rookie is averaging 85.0 rushing yards and 2.1 catches per game over the last 10 weeks.

Speaking Wednesday, Zac Stacy says he feels "as good as new."
Stacy gave owners a brief scare during Week 15 when he missed a series with a hip issue. "I feel better than last week, to tell you the truth," he said Wednesday. Stacy is practicing in full this week and will be a fine RB1 against the Bucs come Sunday. He's averaging a robust 22.2 touches per game over the last 10 weeks.

Great news....I rode him last week with no hesitation and will do so again this week. He's become one of the most reliable RB options of the season....Rotoworld:

Looking more and more like you guys were right, And that is the problem with cavalierly dismissing a player because of draft "pedigree" without looking at context. There no doubt it's lazy analysis especially when there are factors indicating Stacy has serious opportunity. Opportunity is the HARDEST thing for any 5th rounder to come by.I just think the 5th round = he shouldn't be considered where he's being drafted is lazy analysis. I care more about college sucess, physical attributes, and opportunity than what Jerry Jones regurgitation of Mel Kipers big board said. As I've said before Chris Harper isn't on Jerry's board either. I'm sure you have plenty of logic behind Harper not being there, but that validates nothing.I'd say the same thing about Taylor that I'd say about Stacy. Based on the odds, he's a big longshot to make a lasting impact in the NFL. The key difference is that Taylor is being drafted accordingly, whereas Stacy is being drafted alongside 1st-3rd round NFL picks who have a reasonable chance to be useful. How exactly do you talk yourself into drafting a RB who ran a 4.76 at the combine? I could forgive him if he was bigger/stronger with great agility but he isn't that good of a prospect. He is not even athletic enough to be brought up in a debate with Zac Stacy. Stepfan Taylor ran behind a excellent O-Line in the I-formation and took was there. That's a great strategy to deflect his mediocre-poor athleticism, but he was the college version of BJGE. Stacy played on a bad Vandy team vs SEC competition. He's physically a slower Rice/MJD. One guys screams probable value(and a little upside) with an opportunity to play/start immediately, the other screams 3rd/4th string likely bust. Its a open and shut case.
Taylor will be an interesting prospect to monitor because he has a lot of the qualities that I look for besides workout numbers. He's obviously slow, but other than that he passes the eyeball test for me. Fluid runner. Good power, vision, and foot quickness. The success of guys like Arian Foster, Cedric Benson, Frank Gore, and LeSean McCoy who did poorly in combine drills provides some cause for optimism. The fact that Arizona was willing to spend a high 5th rounder on him and that Dallas had him with a 4th round grade despite his putrid combine numbers indicates that they must have liked his film. So while I can't think of too many 4.7 backs who succeeded, I also can't remember any who were drafted so high. Most scouting reports view Taylor as a solid, but unspectacular RB who can be serviceable in spot duty. I agree with that take (which is also my take on Stacy).
Sharkbucks right again about another overlooked talent. I feel like almost every bandwagon thread about a breakout player this year has this guy at the forefront, well ahead of the masses. No doubt, he'll have some wrong calls eventually, but we need to take notice when a poster excels like this. I certainly have.Looking more and more like you guys were right, And that is the problem with cavalierly dismissing a player because of draft "pedigree" without looking at context. There no doubt it's lazy analysis especially when there are factors indicating Stacy has serious opportunity. Crud, hadn't looked at next week's matchups yet...stupid work league playing week 17 :/TheFly06 said:How trustworthy is he in a week. 17 matchup @ Seattle?
He really has been a blessing this year. While he tends to get a few nicks and bruises, man can he carry the LOAD. Very pleased with his production all year.
