This is a strong rumor from over on one of the Saints boards. I think this was the biggest mistake the Saints made in their rebuilding and Zach has a decent shot of being the starter in Jetland not too far down the road..

he's never been much of a blocker. with the o-line being as pedestrian as it is, the need guys who can block as much as they need guys who can catch. i can't blame them for trying to protect brees and solidify the running game.
Phew! I thought he was good enough to get picked up by someone, but wasn't going to believe it until I saw it. Still happy that he's only my TE2 behind Gonzo.
Baker was felt to be on the verge of a breakout season as a receiver last year, before he broke his leg and was lost for the season. The Jets brought on a blocking TE from Dallas and a receiving TE in Hilton to go with the multi-dimensional Baker. Don't expect Hilton to threaten Baker's PT.
Not really sure about that.NYJ is a graveyard for TEs.Baker will probably be the receiving TE there.Having to depend on CP to get the ball into Hilton's hands is no small task.
