ZeroRB - Top Targets (1 Viewer)

I always been a strong rb believer going back 20 years.  The way the draft happened in my final draft, I got stuck with going 0 rb for the first time in my life.  I think Powell was a good target, Footballguys has him rated higher than most sites for PPR, and you can at least start with a good rb2, stay on the wire and if you find one of this years waiver rb's, should have a good chance this year.  The other target for me was Martin/J.Rodgers which after my typical draft strategy got thrown out the window, this is what I switched to and thankfully it worked out.

M.Evans, D.Baldwin, D.Thomas, T.Kelce, B.Powell, D.Martin, Duke, P.Garcon, M.Forte, Cousins, Doyle, J.Rodgers, M.Jones, C.Thompson, Flacco, Bailey, Carolina

Start of the year lineup:

Cousins

Powell, J.Rodgers

Evans, Baldwin, D.Thomas

Kelce, Bailey, Caro

Very different team from what I'm used to,

Might be an outliner type of draft, 3 guys started much different than years past. 2 typical heavy wr drafters started with 2 rb, 1 wr and the other started 3 rbs.  1 additional person started with 3 rbs also which was strange.  Thomas and Kelce both fell while lots of rbs went late 2nd and early 3rd.

14th pick of 14 in a 10 starters, 5 bench spots, PPR league with FAAB, and limited pickups from waivers (3 per week, 30 per year).

I went with the following:

  1. Brady
  2. Michael Thomas
  3. Lamarr Miller
  4. Crabtree
  5. J. Crowder
  6. Landry
  7. Rudolph
  8. James White
  9. Wentz
  10. Sproles
  11. Chiefs
  12. Deandre Washington
  13. Funchess
  14. Chris Thompson
  15. Phil Dawson
I felt forced into going "Zero" RB due to the draft slot, and I think it worked really well. I'm confident I have a competitive roster.

The backs I targeted after Miller were all pass catchers (short of Washington) I targeted the 3rd down backs who I thought could add 6-9 points per week.

Projections gave me an A draft grade, and 4th overall finish in the league, for a playoff spot.

Time will tell of course.

I had the 8th pick in a 16-team standard league with Double Flex. I wasn't trying to go Zero RB initially but the value was too much. Didn't draft a RB until the 6th Round.

8. AJ Green

25. DeAndre Hopkins

40. Keenan Allen

57. Martavis Bryant

72. Phillip Rivers

89. Paul Perkins

104. Jacquizz Rodgers

121. Gio Bernard

136. Cameron Brate

153. Antonio Gates

168. Marlon Mack

185. Charcandrick West

200. Atlanta

217. Orleans Darkwa

232. Aldrich Rosas
