The first, I got off with - IIRC - just a fine.

Technology wasn't very sophisticated in those days and I guess the fact that I already had DWI #1 under my belt hadn't caught up to me by the time I went to court for DWI #2 or else my penalty would've been worse. I did end up doing 5 days in county jail for it, plus a fine and some probabtion.

Same time frame and very much like mine. The 2nd one I got 10 months after the first should have resulted in a lot harsher punishment, but I guess they just missed it somehow.
