GM's thread about nothing (12 Viewers)

I honestly don't have the strength to go into Ham's thread..

can somebody update if there was a COD? a kid just getting sick and passing scares the living #### out of me.
No. It sounds like it'll be a while. I'm sure there somebody will comment in here if he provides a major update.

Been snowed under a couple of days and have neglected some replies

Decided to hang onto the Flex and sell wife's maybe sell wife's Sonata and get a hybrid Fusion or Passat GTI, if anyone has feedback on those. Both get great mileage and I love the looks of the new Fusions. Don't know squat about the Passat other than its German and get about 35 mpg overall.
I hated the hybrid Fusion when I test drove it. Not fun to drive, not attractive, cheap feeling (US made car) interior
Was it a 2013? I think those look good, earlier models not so much

Currently first in line at Salumi.
whatcha got?

the porchetta is my favorite.
I happened to be in the area and decided to surprise Mr. krista by bringing this home, but as a result didn't know what he would want so I got the porchetta, meatball add provolone, and the muffo. We ate the whole meatball one and half the porchetta before we were stuffed and had to quit. Tomorrow's lunch is taken care of!
Tempted to reply to this in the other thread ;)

Did you find a hybrid that was fun to drive?
Yes the one I got - an Infiniti Q50.

14. The nose style is interesting but the rest of the car doesn't follow, IMO. In that class, I think both the Optima and the Mazda6 are more attractive.

The 6 was a lot of fun to drive with very good mileage but just not quite enough power for my personal preferences. I would have been sorely tempted if they had gotten their turbo diesel released in the US as they had planned.

Wouldn't have done me any good. I was getting damn near that kind of mileage out of my TL.

Just cashed a rebate check at the bank drive-through and the teller gave me a sucker with my envelope

you think this is some sort of sexual advance?

Anyone updating the food section of their notebook: I eat one thing at a time on my plate and save the best thing for last. So a steak dinner would look like this:

Salad first

Asparagus next.

Baked potato

Filet last.
same here. I even do this with skittles. yellow then green then red then orange then grape

Fourth and final round of rabies shots this afternoon. I think the boys are both going to fight it big today.

Going house shopping tomorrow.

Thanks. I'm not really in this thread enough to get the update.... but I'll check back and ask again at some point- or maybe work my nerve up to go back in the original thread.

So freaking sad.

Amtrak from St Louis to Milwaukee looks like it leaves at 8am and arrives in Chicago a little before 2pm. Costs $90/pp for a seat or $130/pp for a private room,
I didn't notice this part. Then it's another hour or so to Milwaukee and the seats are unreserved. Oh well, done! We'll be staying until Monday.
yeah, sorry. there's a short layover in Chicago.you going to be on the 3:15pm train from Chicago to Milwaukee? leaving early Monday to head back?

EDIT: I just booked a spot on that 3pm train. I can bring a cooler with beer and some food.
Yes, we leave at 11:154 on Monday. Beer and food welcome but I promise I'm going to have some too. :)
So am I picking you guys up?
Sure!

Just got off the phone with the Board Chair of the United Way for Greater Austin. I'm officially a board member. I'm pretty friggin' elated about it. I forgive all the unkind words from this morning. Go Bentley!

Went to a funeral today.
Pepper is looking amazing, though.
I'll make to tell her you said so. She really does. When I said she was on a diet a couple of pages ago, it's really more of a lifestyle change since it has been over a year now. It is really a pain in the ### and annoying. Fun to rub on though.

Anyone want anything from the Golden Leaf weed dispensary here in Steamboat? I keep going by it...there are usually many cars out front.
