SoccerWhat sport is that?I remember when Christian Eriksen collapsed for Denmark in the Euros last year and this looks worst.

Booger misstated it. CPR is not because “someone needs help breathing”.I really, really, really hope that's not the case, but you could be right. If the coaches decide to stop the game that probably means he is dead unfortunately.
Yes this is what I was referring. Not trying to diagnose this poor guy’s condition, but after watching the replay, he took a direct blow to the chest. It could be a freak case of Commotio cordis.
Pro athletes are in top condition. Let’s hope Hamlin has that on his side. Prayers.
This is awful. Calling the game is the right call for now. Bigger things in play here.
That’s what I thought. Helmet caught him in the chest. There is always an aortic risk with that kind of impact.Saw the replay. I know someone that got hit square in the chest with a baseball and almost died, this reminded me of that :(
He’s intubated at this point without a doubtPulse, not breathing on his own
All things considered, that's encouraging.Pulse, not breathing on his own
That's not happening.Call it for the night.
If he ends up okay then they can finish tomorrow. If it has to be canceled altogether then so be it.
I see it as same news, unfortunately.Just said they were administering oxygen. If true, that's tremendous news!!
It's either or. CPR doesn't just mean chest compressions, and even chest compressions are done if the heart rate is present but too slowBooger misstated it. CPR is not because “someone needs help breathing”.I really, really, really hope that's not the case, but you could be right. If the coaches decide to stop the game that probably means he is dead unfortunately.
CPR is administered when a player’s heart has stopped beating.
I cannot see how this game can continue.
Ambulance for Damar Hamlin is still in the parking lot. Security is working on getting his mother from the stands to ride with him.
All things considered, that's encouraging.Pulse, not breathing on his own
Lost in the moment, let's not forget those men and/or women who were there immediately trying to save his life....and, Lord-willing, did.
Did they say they did CPR for nine minutes or that he was down on the field for nine minutes. That’s a long time.Jesus CPR for nine minutes…
That's.......very bad if they actually needed to shockAED was administered on the field
A hard impact to the sternum could cause the heart to defibrillate and then possibly stop. That could explain the getting up then collapse. It is not like a heart attack but more a stun to the muscles that cause a spasm & leads to stoppingI'm thinking heartattack or brain aneurysm. Nothing else makes sense.
Doesn't matter, of course. Just pray for him.
I am sorry to say, but while this is better than no pulse, it's not very encouragingAll things considered, that's encouraging.Pulse, not breathing on his own
Lost in the moment, let's not forget those men and/or women who were there immediately trying to save his life....and, Lord-willing, did.
Very encouraging.
Can't force them to play if the players say no.That’s what I thought. Helmet caught him in the chest. There is always an aortic risk with that kind of impact.Saw the replay. I know someone that got hit square in the chest with a baseball and almost died, this reminded me of that :(
Any decision should not be up to either team. Goodell needs to make the call.
That's the issueDid they say they did CPR for nine minutes or that he was down on the field for nine minutes. That’s a long time.Jesus CPR for nine minutes…
It’s crazy to think but read a doc on Twitter who said this is “the best” place to collapse with an issue. Trained people everywhere and very close.Another thing to take to mind:. Truly awesome job by the medical staff. We are quick to rag on the NFL, refs, etc, but give credit the the medical staff. They saved a life tonight.
I’d think pick it up right where it stopped. If they resumed the game tomorrow, how exactly does that work? Keep score and time as is, right? Or do they start completely over like baseball?
Probably same as they do in Baseball.. Pickup where they leftIf they resumed the game tomorrow, how exactly does that work? Keep score and time as is, right? Or do they start completely over like baseball?
Isn’t breathing on his own probably means he was intubated which I would expect to maintain his airway. That's the issueDid they say they did CPR for nine minutes or that he was down on the field for nine minutes. That’s a long time.Jesus CPR for nine minutes…
We hear he has a pulse but we hear he isn't breathing on his own
That doesn't sound good but I'm not a medic
Could be in a coma
Hoping for the best outcome but Hamlin is fighting for his life right now
Huh? Life or death situation and you're waiting for his mom to ride along? That makes no sense unless he's in stable condition and our of the woods.https://mobile.twitter.com/BuffRumblings
