Sorry guys. CSU missed a chip shot fg towards the end that would have covered and ole miss gave the game away at the end. Hopefully some of you took ole miss spread #2.5. I'll look to deliver some tomorrow. I'll also list them as units. Raider- thanks for the call-out on that but why so rude? I'm trying to give some reason for my picks. Some ppl just post picks without any analysis.

Posting in this thread comes with an initiation period. Everyone's been through it. Gamblers are suspicious people by nature. Sorry if I was harsh. If you post picks (win OR lose) and try to help your brothers without asking anything in return, you'll be welcomed with open arms by the loons around here. I've been designated the "crazy uncle" BTW. GooRoo and lumpy have me sitting at the folding card table with the kids at Thanksgiving. I can't even see the football games on TV from that chair.

I would add - never come in here and post winning picks AFTER the games are over.

Yesterday's results:

5-5 -1.6u

The early red zone-turnover-for-TD in the Notre Dame game killed any chances of covering that game

strung together a nice 3 teamer (i had given up on) with unlv, syracuse, and fiu. When i looked at the syracuse score, they were down by double digits, thought it was over for sure. Didn't look like unlv was going to cover either. Saw later at night my account grow by 300. Very nice and thank you.
   Check out the Week 1 Thread I started. I'll be giving more picks!

Whats up with the sportsbook.com prop lines these days? you seeing movement or are the pretty stagnant?

FYI: My buddy that I mentioned last season who KILLS totals in CFB just sent the following to our email list:

total i'm certain about: SMU/A&M over 56.5 (they'll hit that by 3q)
You guys realize that remnants of that TS are still there causing wind issues. Watch the weather closely here. The stadium when taking a South wind can make passing ####### impossible.

That and the pick in the end zone after they were 1st and goal in the 2nd quarter. Two first and goal situations for the irish resulted in USF scoring 7 and the irish scoring 0. Sickening.

Welcome! I'm still wondering what you saw in your BYU/Miss research that led you to believe Miss had a solid advantage talent-wise. I could care less whether the play won by 100 or lost by 100, just looking at the analysis side.

I looked at every starter/role player on the roster and researched how highly recruited they were + what kind of experience they had. It was the same research that led me to the Baylor over TCU pick. I just wish I would have taken the spread instead and I still would have been right. I really thought Ole Miss would win it outright though. Sorry I didn't get back to you on that, I was on my way to Tallahassee for the FSU game

I'm taking Marshall (+23.5) today vs. WVA for 1 unit :hifive: (Raider Nation) . I like the combo of Marshall returning a veteran defense while WVA lost two of their biggest playmakers in Noel Devine and Jock Sanders. Marshall has a good running back in Travon Van that could help them control the clock. I've also been a fan of Marshall HC Doc Holiday and feel after last years near upset by Marshall, he will have his team ready to play. I still feel WVA will win by double digits, but I think they will fall short of the current 23.5. I am holding off on betting until just before kickoff as most of the action is on WVA and there's a chance it could go to +24.0. Good luck!

Edit: Right after I post that, it dropped to +23.0 (ugh!). I still like it and will bet on it, but I'm still waiting...

Didnt one of Marshall's best WR get arrested for robbery or something?

Yes, SR. Troy Evans. He only accounted for 225 yards and 3 tds last year. Their 2 leading returning WRs are playing (Dobson and Wilson)

I've been pretty horrible lately on my wagers, but because Marshall has a freshman qb & rb going against a solid defense and because the new wv coach was brought in for his razzle dazzle offense- which I am certain he wants to put on display here vs an inferior opponent- I'm laying the 23.5

Gonna be a good bet for you if Marshall keeps putting WVA in 3rd and 15+ and letting Geno Smith go Mike Vick on them and elude 3 tacklers on his way throwing to a wide open WR 20 yards down the field like he did 3 times in one drive...

I think a lot of us got in on the over with Texas A@M, but the line is moving the other way lately (bodog) so getting nervous... :(

If you really thought Ole miss would win outright, then taking the money line over +2.5 or worse is a good play. I never understood grabbing inconsequential points like +1.5 when you can make out better with the ML. However, you wish you took the spread in hindsight - which shows a serious lack of gambling accumen. A +EV play is a +EV play. You are not going to win every day or every week. I'll pencil you in for 50% this year.

Or it could mean they lost by 1 and I wished I would have taken the spread since it was +2.5. I wouldn't have done that, but I could wish right? I'm 5-4 with picks on this board. Pencil that in for me unless you are counting Marshall as a loss already. It's sad that people are trying to help people out and still get hit with comments like this. I'll just keep giving picks and analysis. Take it or leave it. I'll be around here for a while and I'm not going to get involved with the :boxing: comments outside of trying to understand them...

I liked the ML play, and also had Baylor the other night. You can learn a lot here about getting +EV bets.

I was speculating it was due to the early wind estimates - but wind always dies down in the evening so the impact isn't that substantial. The turnovers have certainly helped early here.

FBG sending an email that manning requires another neck surgery, good enough for me, betonline left Indy's reg season win total up, I'm on it, U10 -160

All the books have pulled season win totals. Pulled futures on AFC divisions or at least ones for the Colts. But.......Even though they pulled everything else Colts BetOnlinehas left this up:

Colts with Over 10 Season Wins +130 /Under 10 Season Wins

These Manning rumors end up being true, you really think Colts win 10 games?

Early leans for Week 1

STL +4.5 vs PHL - Eagles have had OL problems and facing a blitzing team in a loud dome sounds like trouble. Prime teaser candidate.

ATL -3 @ CHI - ATL is a different team away from their dome but Da Bears are another team with huge OL problems. Falcons will try to spread Bears out and hit underneath targets. ATL just has a lot more offensive weapons. Only concern I'd have is if tropical depression in middle of country slowly meanders its way up there for a slow wet field.

Thanks for the Texas AM / SMU over tip Raider. It looks like your buddy is on his way to KILLING IT again. For me that made up for the losses on the UCLA / C. State I also read on here...

No, watching though picked up Freddy for my semi's 5 ER so far, ERA is shot but hoping for a W

On topic though anyone like Maryland -4?

I'm on the following tonight:

Miami m/l +160

Miami m/l +160 / over 45.5 parlay

Even with the suspensions, I still think Miami is the better team.
