If you were 18 again, what life skills would you learn? (1 Viewer)

Women. If I knew then what I know now.

That and the internet. If I had the internet at 18 I'd have been deadly.

Wait...18 now or 18 time traveling?
I'll allow the premise of time traveling.
 Am I 18 in 2016 or in 1985?
What you know now (present day) you'd tell yourself in 1985.
Like the winners of every Superbowl and World Series?
You know them off the top of your head?
Just bring Grays Sports Almanac with you.

I would tell my 18 year old self, "Self, stop smoking & drinking now because you're going to make a lot more stupid mistakes than the ones you've already made. Also, invest what you have in Apple."

If you ever meet a black guy wearing yeezys, make sure you befriend him.

fixed.

Honestly, if the Internet would have been what it is now, I'd never made it past "dredge of society" status.

I would have perfected the art of becoming an expert cunning linguist. I'm pretty sure everything else would have just spread wide open for me. :P

Good thread concept derailed by the ridiculous idea of going back in time.

I think the idea is: if you could do it all over again and be 18 and fully open to guidance on how to better your life moving forward, what would you wish someone would've told you that you would've acted on? (And the person giving the advice doesn't know the future either)

I'd convince myself that getting a good vaporizer (Volcano back then, I guess) is a worthwhile, nay necessary, investment.

That and learn Chinese.

Ok...so we are talking about skillz, not information that our older self would provide to our younger self. In that case....

Cunnilingus!

Having become somewhat adept at the skill (so I have been told) later in life, I can not imagine how enjoyable sexual exploits might have been being a master as a young padawan.

Ugh. You make me sick when you speak, Morris.

Real answer: finance.

Investment, budgeting, proper way to split up your paycheck so you have savings and such, how to understand what's going on in markets, opportunity cost, etc.

NFL-ons ####ed the last girl on the pinwheel of the Ice Stravaganza

design / coding
very useful.

seems like the one other thing that would have been nice to know when I was 18 was to buy a house as soon as ####### possible. I think I left a few hundred thousand in equity on the table by not buying immediately after college and renting to my roommates.
