THE FBG Fashion Thread :style: (3 Viewers)

2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>1The first one looks like you are emulating this guy
I actually disagree. I think #1 is more unique and fashionable. #2 is cool, but that look is everywhere now and many have this type of similar jacket already.#1 seems to be somewhat inspired by the Michael Jackson "Beat It" and "Bad" jackets (without it being a literal remake)

went back for second look at #1, what is the deal with the sweet thumb glove thing? How are they going to see your rubber band if your who wrist is strapped into your jacket like that? :lmao:
Another jacket in the same mold as #1. Hurry, $305 is the FINAL SALE! (reduced from $610). It's like stealin'.http://www.tobi.com/product/15968-coming-s...?color_id=19130
you'd look a little less like a guy super villain in this one.

Uhhhhhhh, no. #1 makes Prince look like Colin Powell. That is just horrible.

#2 I could see that one being passable.
Found the same #1 jacket, but different visual...http://www.poptheshop.com/servlet/the-301/...NG-BRAND/Detail
See, it's not that the jacket totally sucks. But it's more of a costume for Bono than it is a jacket that looks good on a man in everyday life.

I'm pretty sure that's what Rusty gets when they go shopping in Rome in European Vacation.

seeing a lot of "western" type looking stuff in stores nowadays.Thoughts?
I'd imagine I'd give it a thumbs down but would need some visuals or descriptions to know what kind of stuff you're seeing.
i will see if I can find what I am talking about. mostly shirts, plaids with high pockets and unique stitching on shoulders, pockets, ect. that gives em a "western" feel. And it would be wayyy to masculine for your tastes (no offense).

Like this I'm assuming?http://slimages.macys.com/is/image/MCY/pro...,0&fmt=jpeg

OK for some I guess, but not really my thing personally. When it comes to shirts I'm a little more simple..prefer more solid colors and the details are more discreet (stitching, buttons, etc.)

ya, that is it.

Here

but one example. plaid, small button down pockets, usually weird #### going on with the stitching.
I'm not a fan of this one. Colors are too bright. If you're gonna attempt this, best to do it with a lighter, more neutral color pattern combination. There's already so much going on with the snaps, stitching, etc. that you don't need loud colors on top of that.

Can you wear a pair of boots like these if you're not on a bike at the time?
If it didn't have that front buckle by the ankle you could get away with it. But with that buckle it's a little much. Also the heel on that thing seems really high. Overall, the boot just seems too bulky and heavy to me for normal wear with jeans and shirt.

Picked up a new cotton polo shirt last weekend from Banana Republic (color Black). I'm usually not a big polo wearer, but liked the feel and look of this one so gave it a whirl. Wearing it for the first time today and give it a thumbs up.

Soft cotton fabric, some nice stitching detail on the sleeve and chest pocket, only one button, a strip of grey on the inside lining of the collar all make it a little different from the usual boring polos. Fits great in the shoulders and chest, but only knock I have is I wish it was a little more athletic cut and tapered in the waist but not that big of a deal.

Don't like that shirt at all. Sleeves seem a little loose and the length of the shirt is a few inches too long. You look too much like a golfer in that thing.

Anyone seen any interesting tie clips?

Looking for something interesting, maybe something like this? I like that it is stainless, and I like that it doesnt cost 100 bucks.

I have a basic one I picked up from Links of London. I've always liked the look. Coming back in a major way with Mad Men.

Yep, these tie clip bars are definitely what is the most in at the moment. A good look.

in a pinch had to buy a tie over weekend, ended up getting "skinny" one. Not sure I am going to like it, as I prefer a big fat double windsor knot.

May seem strange at first cuz you're not used to it, but good to switch it up every once in a while. Also, the huge windsor knot is starting to go by the wayside a bit. You don't want to be looking like Michael Irvin at this point.http://lh3.ggpht.com/leavethemanalone/Rud7...irvinpurple.jpg
lolz. on Michael, it looks smoooooth. balances out some of his facial features. agreed, too big for your average W.A.S.P.

:kicksrock: don't like those at allYou can't really lose with the no laces Converse...much better choice over those and about 1/2 the price
I was sort of thinking that as well, although they probably are a fair bit more comfortable than the chucks. I have a pair of PF Flyers that look almost identical to these, but they're not really comfortable at all.

Didn't notice the price....agreed they are not worth $75, but I still think the dark shadow ones would look decent with jeans.Agreed, that Chuck's look cool, but are so damn uncomfortable. Like walking on a piece of cardboard.

Pleated pants: http://www.ozakaa.edesigneon.com/pb/images...1f52df_moss.jpg

- If you have them hanging in your closet, thow them in the garbage TONIGHT.

- If you look down and see yourself wearing them right now, than you should be ashamed of yourself. You look ridiculous.

- And yes, even you suit wearers....if you have a suit with pleated pants than it is either old and tired or you made a mistake in your purchase because it is completely out of :style: Buy a new one.

- And if you own jeans that look like this this...

...than you've got more problems than can be helped with here.

I don't know why you get so worked up about this. Suit pants with a single pleat look fine, not to mention the fact that they hardly show while wearing the jacket.

Was out to lunch today and a woman walks in wearing some navy blue dress slacks and dressy work type blouse with hot pink Crocks on. I really wished I had my camera on me.
