With the possibility looming of no real or fantasy baseball for a while, I'm going to replay the 90s in Out of the Park Baseball as a distraction.
I'll be taking on one of the NL expansion franchises in 1993. I looked on the OOTP forums and it appears I need to replay the 1992 season first and then take the Rockies or Marlins job before the expansion draft. I'm an old Strat-O-Matic nerd but have never really bonded with OOTP. I've bought a few versions over the years but found them too much like work. So I'm using the 92 season as a way of familiarizing myself with the myriad options available in the UI.
~25 games into the 92 season, Toronto and Atlanta have the best records in their leagues. Cecil Fielder and Chris Hoiles are tied for the league lead in HRs with 11. Cubs reliever Dave Smith has somehow managed to win 5 games by the first week of May. Bert Blyleven was released before the season leaving him 31 games short of 300.
