Yep. I thought they were pretty well organized, if a bit conservative, all tournament. That ability to limit and stop chances made the difference compared to recent years.

My Peruviian roommate wants to go to Manolos to get some churros, which are quite good. It's an Argentinian hangout in what's also known as little Buenos Aires in the north part of Miami Beach. I think Messi has made Argentina likeable, a contrast to earlier years. In 1995, I was in a small town in Bolivia and heard cars honking- it was for the USA's unexpected 3-0 victory in the Copa America. They told me everyone in South America hates Argentina.

I didn't realize how many of the elimination games he had missed for Argentina until they listed them earlier.

No churros or alfajores when I went to Manolos on north beach. They sold out. Hundreds of blue and white #10 jerseys in the celebration in the municipal parking lot next to Manolos. A few were Maradona, the rest Messi. They said he will never be worshipped in Argentina like in Barcelona. Maybe now.
