I have the sound off, so relying on my own football genius for commentary.Β Β

My halftime analysis was Turkey can't defend for ####.
They were a defensive stalwart heading into this tournament. I think they allowed 3 total goals including a 2-0 win against France and then 1-1 draw against them.

I've decided I found something I like in this last game enough to throw a half unit on it.

Not gonna lie, Wales/Turkey game had almost 5.00 xpg and a missed pk and needed some late show magic for a half win was annoying af.

Itally/Switzerland o2.5 cards (-140) 0.7 to win 0.5 here

With Xhaka starting for the Swiss, that's about as automatic a card you're going to get, but cards have been tough to come by in these games so far otherwise this would be a full bet.Β  Just for some interest in the game as I expect it to be a bit of a tight, #### show, with Italy pulling out a 1-0 win.Β

g'luck if playing.

Update:

Saint Petersburg (AFP) – Russian defender Mario Fernandes was hospitalised Wednesday after suffering a suspected spine injury during a Euro 2020 match against Finland, his team said.

The 30-year-old went up for a high ball in the Finland box in the first half and came down awkwardly, the back of his neck taking the full force of the landing.

The Brazilian-born CSKA Moscow player was carried off the pitch on a stretcher with a brace around his head and neck. He was replaced by Vyacheslav Karavayev.

β€œFernandes has a suspected spine injury in the upper back,” the Russian national team said on Twitter.

I suspect this is somewhere between - "Sore back" and serious spinal injury. Β Hopefully its much closer to sore back.

(I did chuckle when the announcers said he had aΒ "lower" back injury, when he hadΒ clearly landed on his neck/upper back)
Update 2:

According to the results of the examination, Mario Fernandez did not have a spinal injury. He is flying with the team to Moscow and will be under the supervision of the doctors of the Russian national team.

ETA - per the Russian National Team

Man, you don't think of Italy as a quick striking team, but they've gotten up the pitch really quickly on some counterattacks multiple times.Β

What I like about this team is that they can play multiple ways. They can defend. They can possess. They can counter.Β  They can match up against most any side.

Anything can happen, but other than France just because of their boatloads of talent everywhere, I think Italy could do well against any other team in the tourney.
