Ⅿ- Mandalorian Series! (3 Viewers)

Green saber.

Glove on right hand.

My kiddos and I were acting like we won the ####### Super Bowl.

And he messed everybody up.

I thought Vader, in Rogue One, was the best SW scene. This tops it. Fantastic.

As soon as the Xwing showed up, I said that's Luke. Kids: NO WAY!! Sure ####. Watching this magnificent show, with your kids, priceless.

Now we wait a year.

I was excited watching the episode. Dark Troopers, Boba Fett, Bo Kataan. Then As soon as the Xwing came in my eyes went wide and I damn near screamed "it's Luke!"

This second season was everything I had hoped they'd do with a continuation of Star Wars. Season 3 opens up so many possibilities. I think they may just decide the sequel trilogy never happened and take the story wherever they want from here. Give Favreau and Filoni the keys to the whole damn thing.

Book of Boba for the next season, I guess. No more Grogu.  Also, Luke’s face looked horrible when he talked. I thought they could do better now.
No, the boba show has to be a spin off. Right?

I am ecstatic they brought in Luke. A little disappointed it's the stupid deep fake stuff. But I can get past it. Because they brought back Luke and he was a badass!

Also the Lady Expendables were awesome. Because they were just awesome. They didn't tell us they were awesome. They didn't have other people go "wow look how awesome they are". They were all individually built up over the course of 2 seasons (and some from clone wars) and shown to be the best at what they do. Then when it came time to raid the ship, they just did it. It didn't matter that they were women. They were just badasses doing what they do. That's how you do it. Show don't tell.

Particularly since people were posting another actor that looks so much like young Luke. I'd have to imagine they would replace him if he is going to be a focal point of the next season. Save DIS holders a bit of the CGI bill.

It’s awesome how much Favreau and Filoni love Star Wars. We are lucky they’re on board.

Yea I posted that. Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier). Been something the community has wanted for years. Hopefully they will go live actor route if they plan on bringing him back longer.

Fat Bib Fortuna did make me laugh btw. Mainly because I was already giddy with Luke that just seeing him was hilarious.

Despite the obvious similarities and bad ###-ery of Luke, I do want to quibble a bit here. Just because the Dark Troopers really didn't do anything for me. Maybe there is some lore here in the universe I'm less aware of, but they just never seemed very menacing. In Rogue One you know the stakes and feel the emotion of the rebels trying to save the information. I dunno, we could use bad guys that feel at least somewhat dangerous.

Luke force-crushing one was awesome though.

Dark Troopers are from the video game Dark Forces with Kyle Katarn. Basically walking tanks. When they were dropped out of the airlock my son was like "oh well so much for them". I told them they'll be back. They didn't do as good a job as they could have showing just how utterly indestructible they can be but I don't think the heroes would have survived if Luke didn't show up just as Gideon suggested.

How long does it take to train a Jedi? One would think he would have graduated, but then he wasn't in VII 🤷🏾‍♂️
He's a 50-year-old toddler. In 25 years he'll be just starting kindergarten.

Agree on both counts here ;)

A lot of things weren't in 7. A lot of things from 7 weren't in 8. A lot of things from 7&8 weren't in 9. Best to just ignore those for now and we'll see where they take us. In a couple years, those movies might be a "different possible future."

Did they change the Dark Saber story line from Rebels?  If I am remembering correctly, Bo Katan accepted the Dark Saber freely from Sabine, she did not have to battle for it.

I will be sad if there is no Grogu next season.  It would seem crazy for Disney to remove him given his hook with fans, but the final scene was so drawn out, it did seem like the end.  I figure at worst we will at least see him in a couple of episodes or maybe even in one of the other series...

God that was amazing. What I hoped the sequels would be. Mando taking off the helmet to look at his son “with his own eyes” and Luke being true to character and in his prime. This saved star wars.

I would highly doubt they go this route. The whole time line crap has been a complete disaster for Star Trek IMO.

Well that was amazing and fun and made me feel like a little kid again and made me just like Star Wars that much more.

Loved the similarity between the hallway and Rogue One Vader hallway.  Just....perfect.

Such a great show.

Yes, Sabine did give Katan the Dark Saber. In Clone Wars, Maul won it from Pre Vizsla. I guess the only difference is the way Sabine came to possess the Saber after Maul had it.

Best part is, now the whole story for next season is if Mando wants to rule Mandalore,   :2cents:

:banned:

That kind of stuff is just fan fiction. Those movies exist in the universe and they will continue to put excellent stuff around it.

The Force Awakens rules anyways.

Grogu is the cutest piece of merchandising ever, but he just steals the scenes.  That said, not sure where you can really take his story from here. Now that he is connected to Luke and we know a lot of where Luke's story goes. That is why directors and producers get the big bucks though. Outside of Grogu floating through empty space because of the force there is very plot device I wouldn't take to have that little dude in more episodes.

I agree. Disney has a ton of experience with Marvel in this space. Complicating things with different timelines and such for some idea of story coherence over a franchise this large is just not something the casual viewer is going to stomach.

There may be some hokey/deus ex machina way to shoehorn Grogu into everything else, but there will probably be a way. This is the way.

Star Wars fanboys: "Ahsoka Tano!"

Luke Skywalker: "Hold my lightsaber..."
Biggest Star Wars fan I know was meh on that episode for some reason. Not having watched Clone Wars, the Ahsoka episode was probably my favorite because I just loved visuals so much. Also nobody seemed to be cutting a lot of onions in my living room during that one.

I will probably watch this 4 times tonight.  They just do such a great job of capturing the original star wars feel, themes and emotions. Maybe even better.

I'm wondering what happens with mando and the darksaber.  That's a big problem to be resolved.  Also, fett will be off being a warlord, but it will be a plot line,  I don't think he gets a show (not announced). How did Gideon know everything about everyone? There is a spy near mando. Who?

I sure hope they put out a video game.

Just great.

Oh,  forgot.... the sound effects on this show have been fantastic,  combined with the music. The sound of an ion charge exploding,  whoa. The effects of the force connection when grogu was on the rock, and it's sound.  Just pure geekery for me.

As soon as the xwing pulled up I thought it might he him.

I figured baby yoda was talking to somebody.    Its great that it was luke.

Theres so many things I want to see now. I want them to bring in Mara Jade for real. I want Ashoka to meet Luke. I need Leia and Han being an actual loving couple and doing things for the New Republic. Now that Luke is back to being Luke this changes everything!

I have to admit I had hoped it was going to be Ezra or Asoka, but Luke was awesome.  I guess they need ammo for the Asoka spin off.

Most of any of the few complaints I have all revolve around Moff Gidion.

For starters - luke kicks down the door and there stands in the middle of the room a guy dressed up like Vader.  Guys been the main antagonist the whole run and clearly has ties to what is now the empire........ I would have Strongly suspected Luke would have at least raised an eyebrow about that and not just walk out.  That’s going to take some explaining.

Moff, who is a know it all from his chicken franchise days, decides to make a little speech With the dark saber over BY head...... and then wants a fight.  I don’t have a problem with them explaining away Sabine Wren handing over the DS in rebels vs the “law of the west” approach where it has to be won..... they really beat that home but it almost seemed like for some unknown reason that was a really big deal for Moff.  I didn’t get why it was a big deal - maybe she turns heal next season and she’s the new alpha bad guy?

i guess Moff as a character got ruined a bit in my eyes.

Fett and Luke have a long history, including Jabba barge battle and no animosity in the room there?
