“hmmm…that fire….it appears to be growing…..I know…I will put it out with this gallon of gasoline”Salah’s post-game interview sure was something.

Its troubling that he doesnt know why hes been benched. A legend like him deserves a full explanation before it happens, not to have him wondering in a post match presser.“hmmm…that fire….it appears to be growing…..I know…I will put it out with this gallon of gasoline”Salah’s post-game interview sure was something.
I'm surprised he's catching so much backlash. To me, it just reinforces how right Trent Alexander-Arnold was. Everyone gets butthurt when a player shows "no loyalty." But there's not an ounce of loyalty once a player who has given the team so many huge moments over the years is out of form or stands up for himself whatsoever. Its troubling that he doesnt know why hes been benched. That said, hes been mostly invisible on the field when he plays, so he should have an inkling.
Mohamed Salah has been left out of the squad for Liverpool's Champions League match at Inter Milan.
The club have decided to remove Salah from selection for a short period after he gave an explosive interview on Saturday, claiming that he was "thrown under the bus" by Liverpool and his relationship with head coach Arne Slot had broken down.
Sources told BBC Sport that the decision has been taken with the full support of Slot and that it is in the best interest of all parties involved for Salah to have a brief period away from selection given the nature and timing of the player's public comments.
Won't Salah be off to AFCON shortly anyway? Seems this go be a prolonged absence and issue for LP.from BBC

Looks to me like he's done at LFC and off to Saudi in January, unless MLS can work a miracle.Won't Salah be off to AFCON shortly anyway? Seems this go be a prolonged absence and issue for LP.from BBC

Manchester United are not good
Fortunately for them, Wolves are worse
Both teams and the ref was drunk. sheeshThis game is bananas.
Golden goal, tooCongratulations to the 2025 NCAA Men’s Soccer champions University of Washington Huskies.
I dont remember either team being a force in mens soccer before.Looks like my UC Irvine lost 2-0 in the first round to Denver.
Congrats to the University of Washington Huskies
The last few years UCI has been competitive, meaning either losing in the conference playoffs or on a few occasions the first round of the dance.I dont remember either team being a force in mens soccer before.Looks like my UC Irvine lost 2-0 in the first round to Denver.
Congrats to the University of Washington Huskies
Alma mater...Columbia won i think 3 games total this year.
Playoffs? Don't talk about—playoffs?! You kidding me? Playoffs?!
my senior year, we lost in the last 10 seconds of the sweet 16 NCAA game. lost to Alexi Lalas and Rutgers in the round of 16 the year before (he was good... they had a CMF who was way better). The last few years UCI has been competitive, meaning either losing in the conference playoffs or on a few occasions the first round of the dance.I dont remember either team being a force in mens soccer before.Looks like my UC Irvine lost 2-0 in the first round to Denver.

In my day we were 7 mins from the NCAA tourney up 1 vs CS Fullerton. Win and in and they scored 2 late to seal our fate. We beat #2 UCLA that year too (Several MLS players on that team).
Overall, no UCI is not a powerhouse.

CU was a perennial NCAA team back then- I started 2 years after they lost in overtime to Indiana in the national championship game after going undefeated all season (and producing the Herman award winner). We got as high as 7th in the country rankings-wise during my time. so seeing them go 3-11 or whatever... yikes.
