1.09: Who Should The Miami Dolphins Take? (1 Viewer)

I agree on levi brown and can be convinced about russell. Paying Olsen that much money is dumb. If you pick in the top 10, there are only 3 positions worthy of a draft pick: QB, LT, and D Line. Even RB is a little iffy these days. To spend that kind of money on any other position is a fools errand.

I see the Fins being one of the teams interested in moving up to take Russell or Quinn. They'd have to move up to picks 3-6, cause I doubt either slips past MIN.

They could package their 1 and 2 or 3 to CLE, ARI and WAS, and all those teams could still get the player they likely want. Peterson for CLE; Adams, Andersen, or Branch for ARI/WAS. Yes, Peterson would fall because nobody in 4-8 lacks a RB, although HOU could snag him.

Assuming they don't move up/down.

1. Amobi Okoye

2. Leon Hall/Darrelle Revis/Chris Houston

3. Adam Carriker

I heard (for what THAT'S worth) they were not impressed with Levi Brown.

If either Russell or Quinn are available, the Fins pick the QB. I don't think they'll be there.

If Brown is available, the Fins will take Brown.

If Anderson is available, my guess is that they trade back a few spots and try to land Okoye as the next highest rated DL or just pick him at that spot.

Otherwise, if they aren't enamored with Okoye, Landry should be the pick. He will be a stud.

As for Olsen, no way would the Dolphins select Olsen in the top 10. They could likely trade back to the late teens IF he was the choice. Olsen is not a value pick at 1.09.

I agree with this completely, but think that Brown is still in the picture. i do not see them targeting or drafting a QB.

They took Jason Allen in the 1st last year and Yeremiah Bell played extremely well the 2nd half of the season. How would things break down if they dook Landry? Do you think they'd move Allen to corner?

Im not sure theyre counting on anything from Allen right now. I have no idea what happened but he was terrible last year.

I don't think the hip was fully recovered until the end of the year. Seems they were playing it safe with him last year. I hope he makes it, because my middle name happens to be Allen. I think it would be cool to root for Jason Allen. :lmao:

They really screwed themselves at LT. They almost have to take Levi Brown whether or not they want to. Particularly if they're going to go with a gimpy Culpepper.

Cam Cameron & Co. have a LOT of work ahead of them.

If this was the case, their medical staff dropped the ball by letting them draft him so high.

There's a reason the team's in the shape it is and the former coach is now heading up a college team.

The last two coaches actually

I want the Dolphins to do what the Jets did last year (Mangold & Ferguson). Draft OL with the first 2 picks and build it up.

1. Levi Brown

2. Landry

3. Carriker

or

Trade down & get Joe Staley.

They need to take either Quinn or Russell if they are there, unless they see that Culpepper will actually be serviceable again and they can have Green back him up.

Only after addressing and solidifying the QB position, take Levi. They need to give some protection and open the holes up again. Then continue to draft some beef through rounds 2, 3, and 4.
