It’s great but I don’t think I need that much fiber in my lifeGrape nuts with brown sugar is![]()
Definitely apples, but also blueberries, avocados, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, whole grain versions of bread, pasta, rice, oatmeal, etc. What sort of things have you added? I'm an apple a day sort of guy, but have recently been eating oranges too and that's seemed to cut out the need for drinking fiber. Curious what else I could add. Thanks.
one bowl of Grape Nuts has 230 calories and 44 grams of carbs plus a healthy dose of sodium mixed in. Not exactly a healthy cereal by any stretch. It’s great but I don’t think I need that much fiber in my life

I tend to like carb foods and cutting out carbs was tough to stick to so I switched to high fiber versions of those foods. I think that had the biggest impact. Once I got used to it I never craved going back.
Provided you exercise you can pretty much eat like ####.one bowl of Grape Nuts has 230 calories and 44 grams of carbs plus a healthy dose of sodium mixed in. Not exactly a healthy cereal by any stretch.
Pretty much the only reason I exercise.Provided you exercise you can pretty much eat like ####.
How old are you again?Provided you exercise you can pretty much eat like ####.
I still play pick up basketball twice a week and flag football in the spring but I have noticed my desire to compete is starting to wane. One thing that has helped me the past two years is I no longer let myself go in the winter as it takes too long to get back into form. I’m no longer the fastest guy on the field but I’m still top three. And I do enjoy the ego boost when the really young guys find out how old I am.Pretty much the only reason I exercise.
Used to play a lot of different sports that I enjoyed but old man injuries and work have limited those a ton so now stuck doing boring ### gym stuff. Really hard to get into those as much. I'll slog through them and occasionally get the exercise high during them, definitely feel good afterwards, but really hard to get the same enjoyment out of it as I did playing pickup for an hour.

My Monday night group is starting to show its age and guys are starting to fall out and talk about moving on to cycling.Nice.
Basketball and Ultimate were my go to for years. My main RB partner tore his knee up which has killed that off in the short term. Still play B-ball but less frequently, jealous of twice a week.
If I got serious about diet I’m sure it would be a huge help just not that interested and love food, beer and wine so I’ll deal with lame ### gym routine to tread water health and weight wise until that stops working.
:boutdatavacadolife:dayum, Tom Brady.
Enjoy that regular pickup game as long as possible. Jealous of that, the best exercise and good to get those competitive juices flowing. My Monday night group is starting to show its age and guys are starting to fall out and talk about moving on to cycling.
Maybe cycling (w/o the herbal life sponsored gear)?

It's really the one thing I hate most about this house. How'd you get chicken tracks on your ceiling? That must have been one wild party.

So....not to derail your thread or anything....but I'm on Day 6 of this same thing and have yet had any movement at all. I'm actually leaning on the Gatorade/Ducolax deal from page 1 to override this "cleanse" as right now nothings happening. The General said:Day 6. Got to say, the old guys had it right with their Metamucil.
Things are progressing nicely in the number 2 department.
Had a decent week of exercise which had an effect Im sure, but not in the food department with Valentine’s Day and some bull#### office potluck another day.
I swear I eat moderately healthy most days, at least one of the meals. I get a fair amount of veggies, fruit. But apparently was lacking a bit here.
6 days with nothing? Holy crap. You’re in for a beating.So....not to derail your thread or anything....but I'm on Day 6 of this same thing and have yet had any movement at all. I've considered this route. Hate to say it, but this isn't very unusual for me as far as "regularity". I was hoping this "cleanse" would maybe help fix that issue and get me into more of a routine. So far, nothing. I'll stay the course. My longest has been 10 days. But usually it's about 5-7.If you go 6 days without a BM I think you should be looking at something more aggressive. Like whatever the max dose of magnesium citrate is. Don’t plan on going anywhere for 12 hours, though.
Wow dude. What do you eat every day?I've considered this route. Hate to say it, but this isn't very unusual for me as far as "regularity". In.I read the title as a 14 day Metallica cleanse, which is something I'm interested in.
Yams. Or sweet potatoe if you prefer. Fantastic super food loaded with fiber And as a bonus they taste awesome. Google yam benefits. What sort of things have you added? Been this way since I was a kid. I don't eat anything out of the ordinary. In fact, I would expect more movements based on the greasy food I ate in my younger days. I eat pretty healthy, for the most part - fruits, vegetables, red meat, chicken, fish. Don't drink a lot of alcohol. I only eat out maybe twice a week, one sit down restaurant with the family and one fast food lunch. I do have a sweet tooth, so cookies/donuts have pushed my weight up a little and now started the keto diet to lose the 20lbs I picked up over the last year. My weight and diet have been consistent until this point. I started this cleanse knowing the constipation that comes with keto and wanting to get ahead of it seeing how infrequent I am already.Wow dude. What do you eat every day?
I started down this path when I was 30 (im 42 now). Had the colonoscopy, and nothing showed there. I was then sent for the Barium scope, but the pre-drink didn't "clean out the tubes" correctly - or enough, I guess. So the doctor had me hold off on doing anything else just yet. He gave me a high fiber diet, and that was the last I saw of him. I did have some relief and that tended to work for awhile, but it was short term. I've since moved a couple of times over the last 10 years and haven't visited a doctor since. I've been considering revisiting this, but wanted to try introducing this cleanse in attempts to reset things if I can before seeing a doctor.Go get checked for colon cancer.

Short history - I donated half of my liver to my father when I was 22. Even after I went through that process and knew my stomach/intestines were "clean" thanks to being on an IV diet for over a week, I still had movement issues. I was stuck in the hospital for a couple of extra days until I could pass something. I took every "drink" the doctors gave me, as well as the more invasive options. It was not a pleasant experience, but eventually the job was done and I was released.
It's something I've just come to live with, but it does get uncomfortable at times.

Thanks. This is my last attempt before going to the doctor. I have my annual checkup in April, so I'll review things with him at that time. I'm sure you're right, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I've resigned to the fact that this may be how it is moving forward. Good luck to your daughter on the second opinion. All joking aside. Go to the Dr. You’re wasting your time with this clemse. They will do another colonoscopy is my guess. There is a prescription that will help move things along. My daughter has the same thing. Went through the above even took the prescription. No change. Goes every 10 days. It’s awful. Dr said it was ‘normal’ for her.
Shes getting second opinion. Good luck
