3 people well armed W/ body armor & only 14 kills? Thank god these people weren't as good of a shot as the Sandy Hook kid.

 
Watching CNN now. I have just one question. Do they have enough cops on scene?

Are there any more local cops that they can get within that one block near the SUV? Maybe stop at the local army navy on the way in and "tactical up" a little more.

It's possible there was an argument at the party and the witness is just assuming that's related to the attack. I don't see where anyone says that same person returned.

eta - Scratch that, the LAT says that "investigators believe..." the same person returned, though the witness doesn't say that exactly.

For some reason I thought of Jack Reacher. Kill 4 random people along with 1 targeted victim to make it hard to distinguish a motive or ID a killer.

Yep. Create a mess. Eliminates the first bit of evidence for a motive, the victim. This could be narco-gang stuff. Remains to be seen. But it has to be someone with AR-15s, cohorts to team up with, and enough sophistication to make IEDs. This was a county health department gathering though, who would be messed up with that kind of thing in that line of work?

I'm guessing gang-bangers. Hard to see another way someone leaves the party and talks a couple of buddies into going back like that.

 
I'm having a hard time believing that two guys gave up their lives because one of their buddies got into a tiff at the company Christmas party.

There has to be way more to this.

Maybe they are making up these storylines so the extremists don't get the glory they are looking for. Name will be given as John Smith.

What might have happened is that one of the perps was there or went there to ensure that the target was actually there, then leaves to start the attack.

I have a slightly different take on this than others - I think the more these things are shown and denounced the more educated we become. I could very well be wrong but I think a lot of evils can be combated in many ways and one of those ways is with information. Also, things like social media and news/reporting help to expose people to new things and it helps to educate people. I could be way offbase with this thought but I see things like the KKK and Westboro and even a group like Daesh as something that gets exposed and denounced. Before they had the opportunity to stay in the shadows and recruit the uneducated.

Where's the angry guy now? Do they have any evidence that he was involved besides he walked out angry before this happened?

Maybe they were planning something together for a while and the one dude got pissed off and they decided this was as good a time/place as any.
