14 Killed in Shooting in San Bernardino (1 Viewer)

####. Fox is repeating the Islamic name from earlier, suggesting that this might be a terrorist attack.
Supposedly "stuff" about an Arab named man and an Arab woman have been said over the police scanner, and supposedly that's where that name originated. Who knows if that truly happened. They're probably being handed info from production assistants who just get it off the internet. Fox is not CNN, though they do have some real journalism, when the pundits and talking heads like O'Reilly get involved all bets are off. - Apparently the San Diego Union originally reported a middle eastern person being sighted, but they took that down. We've also heard Hispanic and white (which as it turns out was a hoax).

if it is terrorism (which it is), why keeping the reins on it so tightly?

fearing backlash after "crapping" on the french for not being able to contain the attacks?

FBI now says "it's a possibility that it's terrorism, but dont want to say yet"

so, just lacking the balls to call a spade a spade?

I'm surprised he even let it go that far.

I'd rather they get the facts straight before letting everyone—us, news reporters, political candidates—jump to conclusions and start more crap

FBI not willing to confirm terrorism but suggesting there are signs pointing that way. Listening to press conference

The guests on Fox are demanding that we destroy ISIS militarily and shut down dozens of suspicious mosques in the US. They've leaped to these conclusions based on the report of an Islamic name.

Theres been a presser on fox for about 10 minutes now . Before that O'Reilly was cautioning not to jump to conclusions

Ah- I'm not watching Fox; I'm listening to it on Sirius. So I may be a few minutes behind.

Sorry but I'll repeat again that terrorists in San Bernardino just doesn't make too much sense.
Well to a certain extent it does. Their ultimate goal is to gain power through fear. And hitting random senseless targets like that sends a message that no one is safe anywhere. Not even at your company Christmas party in a rental hall in some rando city.

I think there are other factors at work here that make it seem odd if this were ISIS, like the fact that they only seemed to target that one particular room and wore masks to hide their identities. I don't think that fits the typical MO.

Who knows at this point. It's all very odd.

And Pres. Obama has already called for changes in the law based on what's happening in SB.

Everybody can throw their hat around for a while until the FBI sorts it out. Unfortunately this can't be discussed nationally without a #PoliticalFundraisingIssue behind it.

This can't be an ISIS thing can it? ISIS dude has a fight at his office Christmas party and storms out and calls a jihad with a few buddies at the local disabled persons' center?

wtf?

terrorists hitting smaller towns, is the "smartest" thing for them to do, wouldnt it?

everyone thought it was a big city thing... if they start hitting even small towns, everyone will be in fear

link to twitter account, which shows a female suspect, smashed up (poss dead)... she's the one that fell out of the SUV

is that a sports bra on the perp?

thick calves & thighs
Weirder and weirder.

Gangs typically don't have female soldiers, true enough?
Sure they do.
Do they? With AR15s, and IED capability, and parts of hit squads?

Random conference room vs crowded mall? Covered identities as someone else mentioned?

All seems odd.

you're an imbecile then.Terrorists aren't exactly the most sensible people
He said it doesn't make too much sense.

And I agree. And we aren't known to agree on much.

People who are intimately familiar with this city/building/county department would all agree that it doesn't appear to a target for terrorists. Most people have never even heard of or know what the inland regional center does.

Maybe. But it really doesn't fit the pattern. New York, Paris, London. Terrorists strike these places not only because they strike fear but also because they represent the heart of western cosmopolitanism-everything about us they hate the most.

The pictures don't convey it because it is all occurring in an unincorporated area of the city...but San Bernardino is a large city with more than 200,000 people and the region, commonly referred to as the Inland Empire, has a land size and total population that exceeds about half the states in the Union.

Probably not a good idea to post links to pics of dead bodies.
Why?
Idk.

I always thouggt Joe was against thongs...I assumed dead bodies were off limits?
I didnt link to a pic of a dead body tho.

I linked to a post that contained a link.

wtf?
CNN reporting cops saying this is likely related to the fight at the Christmas party and the dude who left came back. This makes more sense...

... well, except for the part where he came back with body armor, AR-15s, pipe bombs, and a couple of his closest friends.

Sorry but I'll repeat again that terrorists in San Bernardino just doesn't make too much sense.
As soul fly posted, Eagles of Death Metal (band from Paris) had a song about San Bernardino. That just seems too weird. Maybe they have other songs about other cities, I don't know.

Nope... and EODM are from just outside the city... like 30min away.

Im an old fan of theirs, and apparently San Berdoo is pretty relevant to them

hence why I brought this up as a conspiracy theory right away

Look

I'm not against it.

I just thought those type of posts were a potential TO.

Whether you post a direct link or a link to a link of what looks like a dead body.

In fairness, they have amazing Christmas parties.

If the link is against the rules, then so be it... I had no idea a link to a link was banned... Especially when the source of the tweet has been used countless times in this thread alone.

I'd be all for some sweet mosaics of dead murderers.

I understand why the kill count is so low now that we found out it could of only been 2 people & 1 was a woman.

I think Fox News has the fear part covered
