I've run several mocks using quality ADP.

Some of the options:

MJD/C. Johnson/Portis

Steve Smith/TO/Portis

MJD/TO/Gates

Tell me which you prefer and why. Also which you would absolutely stay away from and why.

I tend to like the MJD/TO/Gates option the best. With an eye on RB/RB/WR/WR the next few rounds.

My plan is to go QBBC, so I plan to wait for that position.

However, I would lean towards grabbing value at RB or WR instead of Gates if they present themselves.

The reason, obviously, is the possibility of getting a Heap type 5.02.

I think the drop off from at TE is about 25-30 points, if its one of the next 5 TEs.

Where as the dropoff should be greater at RB/WR.

Roy Williams or Boldin -to- Chambers/Clayton/Edwards would be about 40-45 points.

It could be different based upon your projections, however.

If you foresee Gates producing even more this year while the next group does not gain anything, Gates could be the way to go.

But my tiering doesnt show that big of a drop off as compared to what the WR2/RB2 will have.

Thanks and good analysis. My projections are for Gates to jump quite a bit as LT come back down to Earth. Your thoughts are right on however, Gates is the plan, but if value drops, I'm all over it.
