he gets well deserved skewering, agreed ... but "Serenade" is as great a song as i've ever heard - any genre/era.  just flat out awesome.

The local DJs must have hated me when I was 9 and kept calling to ask if they would play 'Fly Like An Eagle'. I still remember one annoyed guy telling me, "we just played that!".
