Okay...the draft was a blast as usual.
Once again- pursuing LT2 was something I decided to do in the last week or two leading up to the draft. Having LJ and Chester Taylor on board as keepers was nice, but I wanted to pair LJ with another stud RB. I discussed it with wannabe here. With only LT2, Rudi, Edge, Parker, and Westbrook available post keepers, and having LJ on the cheap, I decided to go all in on LT2.
While I knew that meant going over 50% for my starting RB's I decided to just go for it, setting a ceiling of $115. Setting up my target sheet with this in mind, getting LT2 for $101 gave me $14 to put back in my wallet for the rest of the draft. With LT2 the 2nd player called up, it meant that I would have to sit and wait for value picks.
For those contemplating a similar move, here's how it shook out for me:
QB-Favre/$7
QB-Plummer/$6
QB-Kitna/$5
RB-LJ/$11(k)
RB-LT2/$101
RB-C.Taylor/$4(k)
RB-Morency/$1
WR-TO/$25(k)
WR-Walker/$17
WR-Key.Johnson/$2
TE-M.Lewis/$1
K-Feeley/$5
K-Scobee/$1
D-Colts/$6
D-Falcons/$2
I got "stuck" with Favre, then went after the Plummer/Kitna pairing for their complementary schedule very late...Similarly with Keyshawn- I was sure somone would top my $2, not targeting him at all. ****! I thought I had Watson, still available fairly late but he wound up going for $12 I couldn't afford. I then decided to gamble at TE , waiting and grabbing Marcedes Lewis for $1. I wrapped up with Morency, hoping he steps up down in Houston.
