I like PPR but I think it should be calibrated, IMO the RB getting the cheap dump off pass is the biggest recipient, not TO with the quick pass, I think .5 ppr for RB, 1 ppr for WR, and to make TE competitive 1.5 ppr. 3rd place I agree with DD, but how about money back $55 insted of $40. I also think you guy need to step up your game and go IDP, it isn't that hard, 1DL , 1 DB, 1LB there are a ton of them to choose from plenty for everyone. thats one of my nominations IDP! I like the roster situation and the flex, waiver action doesn't get me excited, that is luck of what number you have.

Again...I am only tying the 1 tp per 50 yards to losing the ppr so QB's don't get more inflated.DD -- tell me what you like about ppr. I used to like it, but am seeing flaws in it. What do you like?

I like it if we aren't playing so many WRs. What it does is add intrigue and strategy to the draft. I traded the 7th overall pick if you recall and took Westbrook and CJ in a PPR. In today's NFL with the uncertainty, and in a 12 team league where the first few picks have a distinct advantage, I think it evens the playing field. I don't like the third WR however and think it's fairly useless in anything beyond an 8 team league. I'm only one voice but I like the PPR and like it the way it is. A guy like Westbrook or Bush can even the playing field for the guy picking 7th having lost out on LT2, LJ, or Frank Gore.

Hope you guys had a great Christmas!!!I like the idea of .5 PPR for RB, 1 PPR for WR and 1.5 PPR for TE. As far as IDP I have never done it but will go with the majority. I would like to see us add an IR player for injured players. Also with starting 3 WR and a flex the roster size is too small, IMO. I purpose that we increase it by 2 players and if we add IDP players then our roster size should be at least 20 players. Anyway can't tell all of you enough it was fun and hope to get into a weaker division next year!!!Hope you all have a very SAFE and Happy New year!!!And here's to the NEW YEAR :rolleyes:
 
FYI, if you guys are interested I do a playoff contest, $10 per team. If I have enough teams we pay to 3rd place, which has been the case in the last 2 years. Anyway if you are interested let me know and I can send you the rules. Send me an e-mail to the address in our league site or reply here and I will send you the rules.

Basically you pick a AFC and a NFC team and play the players through the Super Bowl, when their team loses you lose that player, etc....

Hey guys--little bit of a problem.

There was a little bit of criminal activity in my apartment...mail was stolen, and ripped open (we don't have secure mail).

I've canceled the checks, they're being rewritten, but I need names/addresses again. Sean has given me his. Please give me the rest.

How goes it? Recieved an email from Keys the other day. He said he will be sending out or posting something soon. I hate hibernation. Can't wait for this season to start! Lots of moves, should be an interesting draft.

They're not. We have four people interested in next year. Unless I get at least half the people back (when I get time at the beginning of April, I'm sending out a new e-mail), I'm just going to cancel it, unfortunately.

In case you were not included in BRADF35 e-mail, Keys replied and said the league is still on but he has been very busy but will be getting the league going soon.

Yeah, I apologize for that. It's going to be after the first week in June that my life gets settled a little more, but I'll send out all the info, and we'll get going then.
 
If we are not done drafting by August 17th I'm out. I have a wedding in Italy and I'm leaving the 18th and won't have a lot of computer access. Thought I should let you guys know so you can find a replacement. We did finish last year on the 16th so maybe there is still a chance for me but again, if we're not done by the 17th I'm out.

Yeah, that, and he's just not going to have time.I apologize, but I'm working 60 hours a week as I start here, and it's not going to stop for a while. Unfortunately, I just don't have time to run the league.I know I owe one or two of you money. If I do, please e-mail or PM me, and I'll take care of it ASAP. As for the league page, if any of you want it (or even to run this league...I can participate, just not commish), let me know, and we'll get that 50% off for you.

Is anyone else thinking of being Commish? I would but I am already a commish on a 24 team league plus my wife will divorce me if I am commish for another league. You know how women can be! :lmao:

 
#### man, I'll be commish if noone else can. How hard can it be? I'm sure I will have the time and I don't want to see this league fold...it was one of the best I've ever been in. My only problem is I'm tight on cash if anything needs to be fronted, but I'll find a way to make this thing go. All aboard!!!!

I'm in! I can help out with the commish deal just can't run it soley. I really enjoyed this league as well. My buddy n.W.o. won't be able to play though. Doctor Detriot said he could play if we finished the draft by August 17th. We would really have to get going to do that. I will go to the webiste and send an e-mail to all to see who is still on to play. :confused:
 
It's time to get this party started again! For the sake of time, I will assume commish duties with Torew's help. We need the following...

-- a roll call. My data file is temporarily locked up, so I don't have my master file that tells me who everyone is. So when you chime in, please include your name, team name, fbg message board name, and primary contact info (phone and/or e-mail).

-- money. If submitting to me, it would need to be via mail, as I do not have paypal. Keys, if you want to collect the money via paypal, chime in. Otherwise I will give everyone my address and we can get it that way. I think it was $60 per team last year.

-- website regiistered. This will have to be done by Keys, I think.

-- Rules changes. Keys, if you want to forward to me the voting results, I will go through and count them and make the changes. (I don't know how CBS works as far as you giving me commish access, etc.). If we don't get this fixed soon enough, we will go with last year's rules.

-- If we don't have a full 12 teams, we will go with 10 teams and two divisions, with the top 2 teams in each division making the playoffs.

-- draft order. This was done with some dice roll site last year. We can dig this info up on the fbg message board. Once we have the teams nailed down we can get this going.

-- draft. Last year's draft was, at best laboriously slow, but we all did a great job of pulling together to make it work. This year we may not have that luxury. We are looking at starting no sooner than the 12th and being done by the 17th. If memory serves me, CBS had a hand in the problems last year and hopefully won't be a problem this year.

So first off...roll call. Chime in and let's nail down the team list! Torew, if you could help me keep track of this it would be great!

P.S. -- My apologies if my running with this offends anyone. It is in an honest effort to get things rolling with little time left. I REALLY want this league to continue, as you guys are by far the best competition I have found in one league!

 
Ok, I just went through all the responses from CBS and here, and everyone is in with the exception of Moonlihgt, BlueOnion and n.W.o.

I am waiting on a response from Moonlight and BlueOnion. I think Torew said n.W.o. is confirmed as OUT this year. So we need at least one replacement. If you have someone good on the line nominate them now. If we lose either Moonlight or BlueOnion as well, we may go to a 10 team league...just depends on the response and if we have good replacements.

I have PM'd and e-mailed Moonlight and BlueOnino through the site here, but if you have a better way of getting them, go for it.

Glad to see you have come out from behind the :scared: . :D Yes ditto for Jerry stepping up to get it going!! :) :pickle: As far as the draft goes I will be on vacation August 9th through the 14th or 15th, but will enlist n.W.o. as a co-owner to help so if the draft starts duirng those dates he can draft for me. I know that is really :loco: and :crazy: but what the hell.

holy #### i havent been on this thread since i dont know when. well as far as the draft date and time, im usually pretty good for the exception of any Monday or Tuesday night. those dont work for me at night. other than that im pretty flexable.
