I'd have to think Jets fan realize this is a referendum on Leinart v. Ramsey. Either way I'd feel good, were I to be a Jets fan.

This seems like the safest choice though, and I can't fault that. Tannenbaum and Mangini didn't really show their hand, so I've got no idea how they really felt about these players.

We will see - Ted Thompson is said to REALLY like Leinart and in all his years of Drafting has NEVER taken a LB on the first day. I think we are in for a surprise or a trade down.

Knowing Matt Millen's brain chemistry, I'd say this is another opportunity to show what a nimrod he is. I do think Leinart will be a good NFL QB, but that's not what the Lions need.

I disagree. I think Bush's talent + NO's situation (post Katrina) mean's the Saints have just drafted the face of their franchise for years to come.

Theyre not saying it publicly, but I think the Jets really believe they can build their team around Patrick Ramsey. Im in the minority that believes its not such a bad idea.

It doesn't matter who is quarterbacking if the offensive line is terrible. You can't throw the ball if you are on the ground. The Jets needed to upgrade their offensive line and just did it.

According to my brother who is down at the draft, he spoke with the guy manning the phones on the floor for the Saints (I'm not sure who that is -- that's obviously not the guy who makes the decisions for NO).

He said trade talks with all teams are dead, and the Jets and Saints never got that close.
