2006 NFL DRAFT (1 Viewer)

Back to the normal draft now. #1 and #2 flipped but that's it.

Think NO will trade him now?

J
No reason why Bush can't go to the Jets when New York is on the clock, Eli/Philip style. Maybe New Orleans wants to see if the other player they want will still be there after Tennessee picks. Now that Bush is temporarily a Saint, they have leverage with N.Y.
:goodposting: Jets select Brick and the negotiations heat up! Not over yet!

Maybe. Time was running out. Maybe by the time they get to the Jets pick a deal can get ahmmered out.
interesting interesting interesting

I just can't imagine why TN wouldn't trade down (assuming they get a decent offer).

If I own the Saints, and I saw all those folks at the New Orleans practice facility jumping up and down with excitement for the Bush selection, I don't even entertain offers at this point.

Football is a business, and Michael Jordan is good for business. Good for New Orleans, they deserve this fotuitous turn of events.

That noise you just heard was Reggie Bush's rookie year fantasy value moving to nil.
I think he's much better off in NOR competing with an aged and torn ACLed Deuce than competing with Dom Davis in Houston.
I agree there......of course I'm also blinded by the fact that I just traded Deuce for the 1.06 pick in our rookie/vet draft.

That will be interesting. Will depend quite a bit on what the Jets think of Ferguson and Leinart/Young. If they're down on both, I'd imagine the Jets would cave into the Saints demands. If Tannenbaum thinks Ferguson or Leinart is a future Pro Bowl stud, and they're also a big fan of the depth in this draft, they won't.

Now taking trade offers for Deuce  :sadbanana:
Don't sell low. Buy low.
Michael Bennett is the loser here, "IF" the Saints don't deal Bush.
As a Vikings fan I can tell you that you should expect nothing from Michael Bennett. After he broke his foot a couple years ago, he wasn't even close to the same back. His game is based on burst and speed and he doesn't have the burst anymore.

Looks like the Saints want Brick. They did not come to the stage to greet him. Maybe, the are worried the Titans would take Brick and they would be screwed. But if the Jets get Brick then the trade can take place.

Steal of the draft if he becomes an elite RB.

Bust of the draft if he becomes another Ki-Jana Karter or Tim Biakabutka
That's sort of self-evident, wouldn't you say?
Just a heads up before we get started. Turn the tool factor WAY down if you want to keep posting. WAY down.J
I was reporting what NFL radio said. I hope I was not the tool in this scenario.
You weren't. Mrharrier and tool are nearly synonymous.

Can someone explain to me when they started this "draft picks points" thing. I don't understand a damn thing they are saying with this
Draft value chart.
Some mathemagicians came up with it as a baseline for GMs to evaluate trades.
Jimmy Johnson was the one that had it created and pioneered its use.I think that it has problems though. I mean, TMQ pointed out that the 10th pick in the draft would be equal to the entire 5th round. Which would you rather have (outside of roster restrictions of course). Personally I'm with TMQ, I'd take the entire 5th round.

 I disagree.
So you think Bush beats out Deuce for the starting role? That's the only way Bush has great fantasy value in his rookie year.
I really don't see all the love continuing to surround Deuce. It will be a whopping 9 months since he tore his ACL, he's been continually banged up his entire career and his contract is easily dumpable in 2007 if Bush tears it up.

No. I wasn't talking to you. He knows what he's doing. No worries for you CA.J

Wow, anyone else notice that NFL network was saying the Titans had selected Vince Young a full minute before the pick was made (and actually were talking about the ramifications of it by the time the pick came in) while on ESPN they were still saying "the Titans are probably gonna take a QB, the question is now just which one" even as Tags walked up to the podium?

Titans just set their franchise back years.

Vince Young is a project...they will have to hide him in this offecnse...behind Brown/Henry? Titans won't have a winning season this year or next...or the one after that...or the next one.

I really don't think personal attacks and insults like that should be tolerated. If there's a rule about conduct, it should be universally and equitably applied, so I hope the response to this unprovoked personal attack is the same as it would be if I had called you a tool.

I think after the Williams/Bush intrigue, it's about to go like clockwork...

Young gone...

D'Brick next?

AJ Hawk after that?

Vernon Davis?

NFL network is simply plugged in and ESPN is trying to play catch up constantly.

here is where it all turns

Jets take Brick - negotiations are on with NO

Jets take Leinart - franchise QB and out

I expect one of the two - would be happy with Leinart and giving up nothing for him!!!!!
