2006 NFL DRAFT (1 Viewer)

Hawk is the smart pick, although I personally think he's a little overrated.
I agree with Tom Jackson, GB just got the best defensive player in the draft. Adding Woodson on top of it and this could be a much better D next year.
If I were a cheesehead, I'd feel much better about Hawk than Woodson, but good point.

I love Hawk. Great team for him. Comparisons to Urlacher will be good too there with them being close.

Agreed, the Black and Blue division is a little closer to living up to it's name now.

Scouts were mixed on Hawk (Sporting News source). Some say he will struggle in coverage and lacks the side to side acceleration needed in the NFL. I think he's a sleeper to be a semi bust.

Ok Lions fans. Who is hoping Leinart drops to #9? I'm not sure if that's what I really want, but it would be interesting. I don't think Kitna or McCown are franchise guys.

VD to the 49ers.

Alex Smith rejoices.

ESPN.com is on about a 60 second delay from the radio.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!I HOPE that if he does fall, they trade down. They have way too many holes to fill on D.

I can't believe a Lions fan would actually want Leinart.

Leinart to the Raiders. Thats actually a pretty good story for all involved. As a Broncos fan, I can get behind it.

Too many holes to fill other than QB. Kitna is serviceable for 2-3 years. Don't forget Shaun King.I'd be very surprised if they don't go Huff.

It is good to see a guy that emotional and happy to be drafted...
:goodposting: Some guys act like it was their birthright to be drafted in the first round of the NFL draft, but Davis' reaction showed some guys still can be humbled by it.

At least they seem to have changed the waiting room. Looks like the families were invited this year. Cutler has his girlfriend with him. Either Leinart or Cutlet could be sitting till the Vikings pick.

As a Vikings fan, that would be a dream come true like none other.I'd rather have Leinart.

The Lions have never had a good QB. Ever. Years and years of mediocre garbage at QB. I think Leinart will be a franchise quality QB. I agree that the Lions have other holes to fill, but so does every other team. I wouldn't be disappointed with the pick, although I wouldn't be super excited either.

I'm just not that thrilled with the consensus pick of Michael Huff. He looks like another Quentin Jammer to me. Meh...

Interested to hear his interview coming up on NFL Network.

PLEASE let me forget Shaun King. I doubt he's on the team after training camp.I think Huff could be a smoke screen and they really want Sims. At least that's some stuff I've heard.

Josh McCown too. Huff will be the pick.

As a Niner fan, I love the emotional investment. The weeping might get old quick if he is Vermiel's illegitimate grandson, but I'll take it right now as a good sign.

Cutler isn't in NYC, he's in Nashville.

I think the Raiders will pick huff.
It's certainly between Huff and Leinart. I'd be pleased with either, as our pass defense is absolutely horrid. They only had 5 PICKS last year. But it's time for Leinart.
