2007 - The Worst QB Draft in History? (1 Viewer)

Ok, Kolb technically has chance to redeem this class, but he may have lost his job. I had to go back to 1969 to find one as bad as this and even James Harris threw for 8100 yards and 45 TD's. By comparison the most by someone from the 2007 class so far is Trent Edwards with 6000 and 26.

Would things be different if Quinn would have been taken at #21 by Jacksonville and worked into the starter job after sitting behind Garrard for a year?

Quinn would have been best off in Philly instead of Kolb, but in the end I don't think it would have mattered since he lacked the arm to make NFL throws.

Matt Moore signed with Dallas as a undrafted free agent in 2007. He might just have a longer career than the rest of QBs in his graduating class.

Nice thread. Humbling. I like to look back at threads like this in May, when everybody is all stupid about most recent draft, and begins to like turds.

Aside from Russell and Quinn, it's hard to call any of these guys disappointments as few people thought any of them would amount to much. (Although we should still expect a decent starter to come from a class, and this is a bad group)

Calvin Johnson, Darrelle Revis, Joe Thomas, Patrick Willis, Leon Hall, Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch, Lawerence Timmons, Dwayne Bowe, John Beason, Joe Staley, Paul Pozluszney, Lamarr Woodley, David Harris, Sydney Rice, Steve Smith, Ryan Kalil, Michael Bush and Ahmad Bradshaw average this out lol

I know, just pointing out it was the best draft class in the past 20 years.

1996 begs to differ.

Code:

Which is completely irrelevant to the topic of the OP.

How DARE you talk about Danny Kanell like that! Next thing you know you'll be slighting Chris Weinke. And that's a slippery slope to be on.

Tony Banks was probably better in the NFL than most mid 2nd rounders. Kanell was a hit for as late as he was taken.

Trent Edwards was starting to look like at least an adequate starting QB until that concussion. After that he played very gun shy.Overall thouugh, sure looks like a bad class.

My Gawd that's awful. When Kevin Kolb is your lone beacon of light, that's a damn dark room.
Tyler Thigpen introduced the pistol to the NFL, and looked really good doing it. I wonder what would have happened if KC would have kept him and built around the pistol instead of chasing Cassell.
