A lot of people will be sweating this week, and I'm no exception. My problem this week looks to be at WR:
QB - Jay Cutler, Jake Delhomme, Kurt Warner - Cutler on a bye; Delhomme and Warner play against each other. I used Delhomme last week for the first time in this contest, and odds say I may use him again. CAR is very strong vs the pass. Luckily, ARI is not. There are still 2529 Warner owners left compared to 651 for Delhomme, so a perfect scenario for me would be a huge game by Delhomme and a bad game by Warner (although not so bad as to have Warner benched).
RB - Maurice Jones-Drew, Clinton Portis, Maurice Morris, Ricky Williams, Leon Washington, Ray Rice, Steve Slaton - Very nice matchups for my top 3 scoring guys (MJD, Portis, and Slaton). Morris may also figure into the mix with a good matchup vs SF. Won't expect much out of Williams vs BUF, but Leon has a shot at garbage time action vs KC. Rice seems to be relegated back to minimal duty in a tasty matchup vs OAK. I will most surely be getting my flex score from a RB this week. A perfect scenario here would be great games by MJD, Morris, and Leon, as they are all owned by less than 10% of the remaining teams. Sadly, if I had to settle for scores put up by this trio I'd probably be booted, as you will see by my WR options this week...
WR - Brandon Marshall, Jerricho Cotchery, Steve Smith, Derrick Mason, Reggie Williams, Steve Breaston - Marshall on a bye. Cotchery looking like he will sit out. Will be counting on the Delhomme/Smith connection to put up some monster scores. Mason now listed as questionable has me worried. Hope his undisclosed illness is minor, because he has been a consistent WR for me (averaging 13.5pts). Williams has been quite a bust so far, and Matt Jones not being suspended yet was a blow to Reggie's chance to be "the man" this week. At least Mike Walker is out. You wouldn't know it by his scoring in this contest, but Reggie Williams is actually WR2 on JAX in pass receptions (14). Let's see him find the end zone like he did last year. It was a great 3-week run by Steve Breaston in weeks 4 thru 6, but Boldin is now back. He may have shown his skills, but you can't expect alot from him as a WR3 now. Steve Smith is going to have to carry my WR corps this week, as I will likely be seeing single digit scores from my other guys.
TE - Tony Gonzalez, Dustin Keller - Another fine week by Gonzo would be awesome. Let's hope Pigpen uses Gonzo like Linus uses his security blanket. Keller has multiple catches only once this season. He's a sleeper, that's for sure.
K - Kris Brown, Jason Hanson - Have scored double digits in all but week 1 with this duo, and they have both already had their byes. Keep up the good work, guys.
D - New York Jets, Miami Dolphins - I've had to suffer through their bye weeks and low scores thus far, but now comes the juicy parts of their schedules. I've only hit double digits once (NYJ with 25 in week 4). The other 6 weeks I have averaged a dismal 5 points.
