There seems to be a discrepancy in the Chicago defense scoring between thefantasystar(30) and the official FBG scoring(24). Just thought OC might want to check it out. If this was already pointed out, my apologies. I've tried to keep up with the thread but given the number of posts, a few might slip by.
fantasy star is probably scoring the Rasheid Davis TD as a D/ST TD when it shouldn't be.

Another is Peyton Manning. Fantasystar has him for 9.45 and FBG has 9.35. Looks like fantasystar isn't picking up the 1 rush for (-1).

Yeah, OC acknowledged before that his statistics feed doesn't pick up negative yardage totals. Anyone with a negative total in a category will be off.

Looks like the final prediction is 123.7. Slid in with a 148.3. Didn't want Cutler to come back in, but at least we know he's a gamer that will play through an injury...
Fourteenkickerguy sure hopes you are right. He scored 128.05 and had only one active WR (Santana Moss) and no flex player at all.
what's his team #?
102743 is his team number...
I was off, as fantasystar had CHI D with 30 points. Fourteenkickerguy slides in at #3954 with 122.05 points. He made the first 2 cuts by 40 points each, but since then has survived by 16.95, 7.75, 13, 7.35, and 0.75. How can you not root for this guy? He is becoming a cult hero!

I know you were all wondering how my team is doing so here it is...I'm sitting at 101.90 with only one guy remaining for tonights game. Randy Moss (-0.0).If the 2008 Randy Moss comes to play, I'm doomed. If the 2007 Randy Moss comes to play, I'll see you next week.
:excited: The 2007 Randy Moss came to play!!!! Finished with 125.8. Having the dreaded Romo/Warner/Ryan combo for zero, and my 2 defenses also came up empty. :wall: I had 10 of my players score zero when only 3 were on a bye. :bag: :X I'm lucky to be going on to week 8, but things look a lot easier going forward. :pics:  :pickle:  :suds: :banned:

I am really hoping I can squeak by in week 10. I have Portis and Barber on bye that week. :goodposting:
That's a tough week to squeak by in because the cut is so deep. However, I've seen a lot of teams with bye issues that week. A lot of them have combinations of Romo, Barber, TO, Witten, Portis and/or Santana Moss . Toss in Housh, Ocho & Palmer with their relocated byes and it could be a low-scoring week.

I'm still alive, but my Reggie Bush and Jeremy Shockey combo likely means :jawdrop: when Portis has his bye. My only other options at RB are MJD and Ricky. Picking Ricky over Slaton is probably what killed me.

I feel I have a nice mixture at RB with Portis, Forte, CJ3, Deangelo, Slaton and Ricky

FWIW, 451 of the 1000 teams eliminated this week had Romo (leaving 1054 of us still alive with Romo). 271 of those 451 also had Warner (as do 602 survivng teams). 43 of the eliminated teams had my combo of Romo, Warner & Ryan. 98 of us with that combo survived. That's quite a hit, but I suspect it could have been much worse if not for subpar weeks for Manning, Palmer, Cutler, et al.
Had this same qb trio...as well as S. Young and Nugent hurt, D. Jackson, R Williams and Eagles D on bye, and Hardy not even playing...I had 9 players not even playing this week.. I feel very fortunate to have survived.

Next week is my do or die week, I have Cutler and Romo at QB and Marshall out as well, I made into the top 50 last year and had a similar week where all QB's were on bye or hurt and I ended up getting by by 1 point. Will see.

Well, that was interesting.

Thought I had made it with ease (140 according to FantasyStar) despite all the usual Romo/Ryan/Westbrook/LFitz problems. Just went to check my standing and saw I barely squeaked by at 124.10.

Oops, I had the wrong Steve Smith checked off for my team. Only took me seven weeks to notice. :penalty:

Anyway, on to Week 8.

WHEW.. made the cut by 2 points, my first close one of the season--had Warner, Fitz, Breaston on bye. I'd like to thank my 3 QB/kicker/defense strategy for saving my hide--9 roster spots well spent!!!

No injuries this year, just spending a lot of time in pass protection for his rookie QB. Maximum of five targets in a game and only 23 for the season. Still not a useful pick and doubt that it will be a productive one this year.

Teaming those two would have been dynamic thus far, but sounds like a lethal week ten combo.

Hopefully Slaton/Rice can contribute something in that week. Or my WR's explode.

Only 23 teams alive with S. Jackson/Portis.....and only one team alive with those two and Randy Moss. If only Moss was the threat he was last year. At least I have a unique team, if only Moss could explode! Wishful thinking.

I just survived a week with a donut from my QB position(Romo and Ryan) thanks to Owen Daniels and the Bears D so anything hereafter is pure good gravy!

I moved all the way up to 356, with Romo and Delhomme as my QB's. My RB's of Peterson, Rhodes and Slaton are working well so far!! But I think my lousy TE's(Keller and Pope) will be the death of me eventually.

51 tms started with Sjax/TJones. 20 still alive (of those 38 started with Slaton and 18 are still alive.. i.e. only two teams with that combo made it so far without Slaton..)Only 3 teams entered with SJax/TJones/Smith/Marshall. 1 other still alive, he has completely different QB (Rodgers, Mcnabb vs my Schaub, Warner, Delhomme), McMichael (OUT) vs my Witten and Jennings vs my Boldin (I so love that I took Breaston as well..)

2 other teams have SJax/TJones/Boldin. Both have Warner with me but none have any of my other QB's (McNabb and Cambell). And both have nothing else after Boldin WR wise (Roy Williams/Issac Bruce and Ocho Cinco/Chambers are next best two vs my Steve Smith/Marshall) and they have Crumpler and K.Boss vs my Witten for TE respectively..

I like it.. :lmao:

The RB, WR, and TE lists above do not count flex players. They only count the top 2 RBs, top 3 WRs, and top TE each week. Here are the teams that have gotten the most points from their flex slot.

Thanks DD.

Any way to query a list of entries that are top quartile at each position?

or maybe top 10% scoring at each position? Not sure if there would be many entries in this category.

Thanks for all the stats work you do on the contest - it is greatly appreciated by many of us stats geeks!

I think my team is pretty balanced so far.

I've scored b/w 74-89% of the max scored by anyone for each of QB RB WR Flex and DT.

Just 66% for K 82/124

and I'm weak at TE (LJ & Ben U) - giving up 100+ pts to the top TE team so far through 7 weeks.

I'm assuming those lists of top scores by pos is just comprised of teams still alive in the final 4000?

I'm avg. 175 a week but this week I'm actually concerned. No Marshall or Driver. I need S. Jax to play big if he's healthy.
