2008 your 10 Favorite posters (1 Viewer)

LOL, the thread is supposed to be your 10 favortite posters...not the kiss up to the staff thread. :wall:
 A lot (most?) of the staff is made up of guys who used to be "normal" board members. Their postings led to their addition to the staff. Seems pretty consistent and logical that they'd still be people's favorite posters.
That's true, but now they are staff and have been for over the past year. Listing staff is like listing a coach as your favorite player. :bag:
 You're right, when Pete Rose managed and played, he was one of my favorites.
No that would be logged under "my favorite cheaters."
not really cheating...
LOL, that's why he got banned for not cheating. :lmao: Gambling was a rule and he broke it...what part of cheating are you not understanding?

Have you read the Clinton Portis thread? :lmao: BTW - MOP is on my list of faves, so it's no knock on him. But he can pontificate with the best of them.
the post was just a little of  on my part.Banger put a solid list there but I rarely read anything lhucks puts out , life is too short to waste time like that

SSOG - good analysis, like when he pulls in footballoutsiders stuff

Wildman - wish he was FBG staff; he barely posts here (usually on FFToday)

EBF - worthy of staff consideration

Fear & Loathing - wish the dynasty thread was still going (better than the web site)

LHUCKS - not sure why he's so reviled

Yudkin - listen we he talks Pats

Pasquino - like his approach to dynasty

Bloom - I like Pasquino's take on dynasty better, but Bloom makes me think

Chase Stuart

Chaos Commish - who is he? sounds like he is staff, but I haven't caught on

gianmarco - great when he gets going with EBF

Tremblay - great fo charger info

In the game of sport...you could consider it YES since penalties are imposed anytime someone does not adhere to them. If not, they wouldn't call a penalty or ban a person from the sport.

Jeez, I'm surprised I was mentioned a few times since I don't post as much as many of the other guys. Thanks.....
It's the quality, not the quantity here. I get an adrenaline rush everytime I see that DH was the last poster in the Eagles thread.

I don't know how quick you are or how current you stay with what's going on, but it sure would appear they did. It might not have been on a play on the field, but they broke the code of conduct that the commish put out for all players. If this is too much grasp, just let someone know...they might be able to spell it out for you. So your stance would imply that tackling a player by the fact mask is not considered cheating, right?

EBF, Wildman, Bloom, SSOG, Fear and Loathing, Wood, and Pasquino are the obvious ones. Bob Magaw, Couch Potato, and geoff8695 are not quite as known but have excellent analysis. I really do appreciate all the viewpoints, however...

can't believe I forgot Couch Potato!

redman, fatness, DCthunder, Sidewinder16, busterC, dgreen, Bizkiteer all keep me very up to date in all the of Redskin information I could ever want. Very handy since I've moved out to Hawaii, although since Colt Brennan has been drafted by the Skins we are getting far more Redskin coverage and interest out here.

I'm embarrassed I forgot about him as well. I always check out what he has to say.

Not enough love for Bob Magaw and Andy D in this thread. If I notice they start a thread, it's the first one I'll click on.

:lmao: That's all that is needed, right? All the other stuff is really not worth it.

I truly enjoy Andy D and redman; they consistently provide quality posts and also add well timed intentional humor when needed.

But I am going to approach this topic from a different prospective. Every year during football season, there is an influx of posters who are extremely abrasive when it comes to their views of a given team. They become highly emotional when posting and replying about their favorite team. This leads to weekly threads indicating, often with capitalized letters and misspelled body parts in the title, their team will beat the team they are playing that week.

These posts usually do not contain any logical reason, merely more useless rhetoric and exclamation points. Thankfully, posters like “Big Daddy Kane” disappear when they are wrong and leave the other board members to guess which anti-Patriot alias he/she is using at any given moment.

There is one poster that I actually look forward to his yearly prediction. He picks one week in which his favorite team is the underdog and states they will win. I find his posts are not nearly as tiresome and redundant as others that post predictions. He simply is a fan of one of the less successful franchises out there. I am referring to Billy Ball Thorton and his Arizona Cardinals. He stated the Cardinals would beat the Steelers, and they did; I did not think they would, but I liked the fact he was willing to go out on a limp while still managing not to sounds like a tool. Two years ago, he emphatically stated the Chicago Bears would be upset by the Cardinals on Monday Night Football, a game that gave every football fan a wonderful gift of Coach Green’s rant and assault on a helpless podium.

I look forward to this season, and whichever game he chooses to call an upset by his team. Other posters are so emotionally charged that it is difficult to hope their team wins. I do not know much about the Cardinals and their franchise, but I can honestly say I respect Billy Ball Thorton’s love for the team.

In MAY, it's obviously the DYNASTY guys that get and SHOULD get the love.

The discussion starts and ends with EBF and BLOOM. These two guys will help you dominate your dynasty drafts. Put them in charge of the entire dynasty division.

I would really like to thank anyone that mentioned me, I don't deserve it but thanks.

I don't know that I have a top10 but some of the posters I enjoy include...

Staff:

Jason Wood: Guy is on point and can debate without having to go below the belt.

Wannabee(JT): Always has great perspective, and I'm spoiled cause I compete with him a couple of dynasty leagues so we talk all the time.

Jeff Pasquino: I don't always agree with him but I think he has good takes.

Bloom: Rocks!!!

Chris Smith: Would like it if he posted more but his OL articles preseason are a must.

Jets(Chase): I always like to read what he posts, but also one of the guys I don't always agree with.

Bob Magaw: The Godfather of these boards, he has a lot of history in his head.

Posters:

Andy Dufresne

Anonymous Bob

JaxBill...guy is always on top of the Jags

Zamboni

Banger

Bicycle Seat Sniffer

CouchPotato

BassnBrew

There's a bunch more that I like to see post...I overlooked Yudkin and Maurile, enjoy both of them too. I like most posters in here, especially the off season because this is when the true fans are hanging out.

Got to add Bramel to the list if you're an IDPer.
 I agree 100 % on Jene Bramel.I'd like to add Andy Dufresne's name to the mix as well.
Jene B and Anthony Borberly are very good in the IDP forumsThank u for mentioning me in the OP, There are dozens of other Poster that much more informative than me .. here, I guess I'm the they love too hate.

If you're looking for an under-the-radar name to add to finally get you to eleven, I haven't seen ConstruxBoy's name come up in this thread yet.
Still haven't seen ConstruxBoy's name come up in this thread. He deserves to make a lot of lists for his study of players on the injury report alone (the most useful study that no one's ever heard of). And this is to say nothing of his "breaking down the tape" series or other studies.

Most of mine have been mentioned. However, I want to add djcolts as he brings the Colts dish when I can't!!!
To reiterate, there are many superb posters here. Many of the staff are zealous in their predictions and many of the subscribers to this forum are very well informed and well read. I originally picked the ten not because of my lock step agreement with them, for the most part half at least I disagree with on balance, but because in spite of those disagreements those posters offer insight that make me question my own analysis and ranking's. I always think this forum is the best place to come to have a mental jostle with fellow Fantasy Football enthusiast and hardcore football fans. I always respect those that lay it all out there with their predictions and prognostications despite my opposite view to their opinion. Football Guys Sharkpool is the single best Fantasy Football forum on the WEB bar none. The challenge for me personally is to find a way to disagree with out coming off as a total jack ***.
