Zoo York
Arizona Cardinals

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Russ Grimm & Mike Miller

Todd Haley has accepted the Kansas City Chiefs head coaching job. HC Ken Whisenhunt has replaced Haley by promoting OL Coach Grimm to run game coordinator and WR coach Mike Miller to passing game coordinator.

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Bill Davis

Pendergast was fired despite the Cardinals unexpected appearance in the Super Bowl. LB coach Bill Davis has been promoted to DC; Davis was DC in San Francisco prior to joining the Cards staff two seasons ago.

Baltimore Ravens

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Greg Mattison

Rex Ryan has finally been given a chance to take over a team as head coach. He leaves for the Jets a day after the Ravens lost the AFC Championship game. The Ravens promoted ILB Coach Greg Mattison to the position.

Carolina Panthers

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Ron Meeks

In a surprising move, Mike Trgovac won't return as the Panthers defensive coordinator. He was due for a new contract and the Panthers confirmed they had indeed made him a new contract offer, but Trgo decided to seek employment elsewhere. The Panthers moved quickly to hire Ron Meeks, the recently departed DC from the Colts.

Cleveland Browns

*** Head Coach -- Eric Mangini

Mangini bounced back from his dismissal in New York, landing a new deal to coach the Browns

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Brian Daboll

Daboll served as QB coach in NY under Mangini

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Rob Ryan

Ryan served as DC in Oakland under three different head coaches

*** General Manager -- George Kokinis

Ravens director of player personnel George Kokinis has left for division rival Cleveland, where he will replace Phil Savage [another former Ravens personnel exec] as General Manager.

Dallas Cowboys

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Brian Stewart

Stewart was fired after two seasons as DC

Denver Broncos

*** Head Coach -- Josh McDaniels

McDaniels, the latest wunderkind from Bill Belichick's coaching tree, has accepted the Broncos head coaching position and will replace Mike Shanahan.

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Mike McCoy

Mike McCoy, the Carolina Panthers QB coach, has accepted the OC role in Denver. Interesting when one considers how awful Jake Delhomme played this season.

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Mike Nolan

Former 49ers head coach Mike Nolan will join the Broncos staff as Defensive Coordinator

Detroit Lions

*** Head Coach -- Jim Schwartz

Tennessee Titans DC Jim Schwartz has accepted the head coaching position in Detroit

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Scott Linehan

Linehan carved out a successful career as an OC in Minnesota before his stint as the Rams head coach. He now returns to the NFC North as the Lions new offensive play caller.

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Gunther Cunningham

Gunther Cunningham has accepted the defensive coordinator position in Detroit after his 2nd stint in KC

Green Bay Packers

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Dom Capers

Capers was being wooed by the Giants as Steve Spagnuolo's replacement but instead took the Packers coordinator position.

Houston Texans

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Frank Bush

Frank Bush has been promoted to DC, replacing the fired Richard Smith. Bush was senior defensive assistant, focusing primarily on the defensive line.

Indianapolis Colts

*** Head Coach -- Jim Caldwell

Jim Caldwell as the HC in waiting and now officially takes over the helm as Tony Dungy has decided to retire.

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Larry Coyer

Ron Meeks resigned, and Jim Caldwell has hired long-time Broncos assistant Larry Coyer

Jacksonville Jaguars

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Mel Tucker

Hard to believe it, but Mel Tucker - recently DC for the Browns - was hired to replace the fired Gregg Williams.

*** General Manager -- Gene Smith

Gene Smith has been promoted to GM

Kansas City Chiefs

*** General Manager -- Scott Pioli

Pioli replaces Carl Peterson, long time personnel man in KC

*** Head Coach -- Todd Haley

Scott Pioli fired Herman Edwards and then sat quietly until the Super Bowl finished. Clearly he had his eye on Cardinals OC Todd Haley from the start, given the lack of other serious candidate discussions.

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Chan Gailey

Chan Gailey has been retained by new head coach Todd Haley

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Clancy Pedergast

Pendergast was canned in Arizona but lands on his feet in Kansas City thanks to his former colleague on the other side of the ball.

New England Patriots

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Vacant

The Patriots must replace Josh McDaniels, who has accepted the head coaching position in Denver

*** Player Personnel -- Nick Caserio & Floyd Reese

Rather than hire someone new to replace Scott Pioli, the Patriots are bringing long-time NFL exec Floyd Reese aboard as Senior Football Advisor and having him work in tandem with Nick Caserio, their player personnel man.

New Orleans Saints

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Pete Carmichael

Carmichael was promoted from QB coach to OC, in order to replace Doug Marrone who accepted the HC job at Syracuse University

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Gregg Williams

Gregg Williams, after a failed stint in Jacksonville, has accepted the defensive coordinator position in New Orleans, replacing Gary Gibbs

New York Giants

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Bill Sheridan

Steve Spagnuolo has accepted the St. Louis Rams head coaching position and the Giants found his replacement in house, promoting linebackers coach Bill Sheridan to the top post. Sheridan has coached the LBs for the last four years in NY.

New York Jets

*** Head Coach -- Rex Ryan

The Jets underwent an exhaustive search and found their man in Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan. Ryan, the son of former defensive stalwart Buddy Ryan, has been the engine behind the Ravens defense for years, and stayed in the position under new head coach John Harbaugh.

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Brian Schottenheimer

Brian Schottenheimer has agreed to stay on as the Jets OC despite being a candidate for the head coaching position that ultimately went to Rex Ryan

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Mike Pettine

Pettine was the OLB coach in Baltimore for the last four years and is a trusted assistant to Rex Ryan. He replaces Bob Sutton, who may stay on in another capacity.

Oakland Raiders

*** Head Coach -- Tom Cable

Sometimes it pays to be the only belle at the ball. The Raiders, after getting precious little interest from outside coaching prospects, have decided to retain Tom Cable as offensive coordinator.

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Ted Tollner

Greg Knapp has joined the Seahawks, and the Raiders have turned to on again, off again NFL assistant Ted Tollner.

*** Defensive Coordinator -- John Marshall

Rob Ryan has joined the Browns, and the Raiders have replaced him with John Marshall, who served as the Seahawks from 2006-2008.

San Francisco 49ers

*** Head Coach -- Mike Singletary

Singletary took over as interim coach last year and was rewarded with a 4-year deal this offseason

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Jimmy Raye

After interviewing 8 candidates, the 49ers have settled on Jimmy Raye as their OC. Raye has coached for six other NFL teams, including a stint in Oakland as OC.

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Greg Manusky

The 49ers have extended Greg Manusky through the 2010 season; he will reprise his role under new HC Mike Singletary.

Seattle Seahawks

*** Head Coach -- Jim Mora

Jim Mora has replaced Mike Holmgren as head coach. Mora has been an assistant head coach and was contractually in place as Holmgren's successor for the last two seasons.

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Greg Knapp

Knapp has worked with Mora in both SF [as coordinators] and in Atlanta [as Mora's OC] and will join the Seahawks after serving in Oakland; he replaces Gil Haskell

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Gus Bradley

Bradley replaced John Marshall after coaching the LBs in Tampa Bay for the last two seasons

St. Louis Rams

*** Head Coach -- Steve Spagnuolo

Shortly after reports surfaced that Jason Garrett would be named head coach, the Rams announced the hiring of Steve Spagnuolo to the position.

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Pat Shurmur

Shurmer, who coached with Spagnuolo in Philadelphia, will leave the Eagles QB coach position to become OC in St. Louis

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Ken Flajole

Flajole joins Steve Spagnuolo's staff as defensive coordinator after spending the last six years as the LB coach in Carolina

Talk about a meteoric rise. Defensive assistant Raheem Morris was due to replace Monte Kiffen as Defensive Coordinator in 2009, but will now serve as head coach as the Bucs have fired Jon Gruden

*** Offensive Coordinator -- Jeff Jagodzinski

Bill Muir was fired in the purge following Gruden's dismissal, and the Bucs have added Jeff Jagodzinski as OC. Jags had been the head coach at Boston College until he was fired after interviewing for the New York Jets head coaching vacancy.

*** Defensive Coordinator -- Jim Bates

Monte Kiffen is leaving Tampa Bay to join his son Lane's staff at the University of Tennessee. Morris hired long-time NFL assistant Jim Bates who most recently was assistant head coach in Denver. Bates was interim coach in Miami for a time, and also ran Green Bay's defense in recent years.

Anyone want to take a quick gander at this and let me know if I missed any hirings?
Looks like the Patriots are going with a "GM" tandem of Floyd Reese and Nick Caserio. Reese will do a Parcells type role + GM duties such as contracts, where as Caserio will perform the duties of departed GM Scott Piolilink

Raiders have officially hired the Grim Reaper as Head Coach. He has been unofficially serving as a direct consultant to Al Davis.

He brings the Death Adder as an offensive coordinator. Grim Reaper most recently served as General Unmanager of the Los Angeles Clippers. He has been known to utilize a heavy running system.

Beelzebub will come out of retirement to coach the defense. When all else fails shoot your opponent. Ala The Last Boy Scout(Bruce Willis Movie).

For Al Davis, this would be a youth movement.

Great news for SteelTown:

The Steelers ultimately did grant the Cardinals permission to interview LBs coach Keith Butler for their defensive coordinator vacancy, but Butler turned down the opportunity. Butler and Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt spoke on the phone, but Butler apparently wasn't impressed enough by Arizona's offer. Pittsburgh's coaching staff will return intact in 2009. Bill Davis will run the Cards' defense. (from Rotoworld)

That's just awesome.

Looks like the coaching situation is almost completely settled. The only vacancies as I see them are the Cards and Pats offensive coordinator positions; which I assume will be filled quickly.
