I like the Marshall side of the deal. I prefer to get the best player in the deal (quality over quantity).14 team developmental player league (i.e. college players) with the following scoring: 0.5 ppr for RB, 1.0 ppr for WR, and 1.5 ppr for TETeam A received: Nicks/Britt/2010 1.7 dev pickTeam B received: Marshall/Heath Miller/2012 2nd round rookie pick

I am Team A and that was my thinking as well. I have been targetting 2011 1st's because it has a good chance to be a much better year. I think it was a solid move by Team A, but I disagree there isn't much of a difference between 1.5 and 1.8. I think the top 5 will be (in no particular order) Matthews, Best, Spiller, Tate, and Bryant. I think there is a dropoff after that group.I am Team A and that was my thinking as well. I feel like that's a slight sell low that could also turn out well for you.If Charles turns out to be an end of the year flash in the pan, it looks good for you (assuming you hit on 1.1)If Charles is a STUD and you hit on 1.1, it still looks a bit bad for you.If Charles is a STUD and you miss on 1.1..........ooooofTraded Jamaal Charles and 1.12 and 2.12 for 1.1. Non PPR.
I'm fortunate enough to have Rice, Wells, Addai, Lynch/Jackson, Portis left so I took a chance. And I love Charles, it was really hard for me to deal him. I just felt TJ and McCluster would erode his value this year.I feel like that's a slight sell low that could also turn out well for you.If Charles turns out to be an end of the year flash in the pan, it looks good for you (assuming you hit on 1.1)If Charles is a STUD and you hit on 1.1, it still looks a bit bad for you.If Charles is a STUD and you miss on 1.1..........ooooofTraded Jamaal Charles and 1.12 and 2.12 for 1.1. Team A got punked.12 team, PPR1 Q, 1 R, 1 W, 1 T, 1 D, 1 K, 3 Flex (R/W/T)Team A gets:Matt SchaubSteven JacksonTeam B gets:Michael Crabtree2010 1.072010 1.102011 1st (Hard to say what pick this will be. And he'll eat away at the receptions that would have gone to Charles out of the backfield. Without all the receiving yards, and another RB in the mix I felt his value was at its highest.McCluster is a slot WR...I'm fortunate enough to have Rice, Wells, Addai, Lynch/Jackson, Portis left so I took a chance. How do you figure? The way I look at this trade is Schaub and Jackson for Crabtree, (one of Golden Tate, Benn, or Hardesty), (Gresham or Bradford), and some unknown middle of the road 1st. Sometimes you're too in love with rookies. Always putting upside over reason won't win you many leagues.Team A got punked.12 team, PPR1 Q, 1 R, 1 W, 1 T, 1 D, 1 K, 3 Flex (R/W/T)Team A gets:Matt SchaubSteven JacksonTeam B gets:Michael Crabtree2010 1.072010 1.102011 1st (Hard to say what pick this will be. I'm guessing that this is a HyperActive league judging by the starting requirements. Schaub is a solid NFL QB and a standout FF QB, but he won't be a difference-maker in this format. Steven Jackson will only be 27 this season, but he plays a physical brand of football and has a ton of mileage. I see probably two more peak seasons from him at best. If he slips at all, his trade value will plummet. I wouldn't trade Crabtree for those two guys. Add in three 1st round rookie picks and it looks pretty lopsided to me. I think it really hinges on Jackson and how much he has left in the tank. If he ends up producing at a high level for another 3-4 years then this is definitely a solid deal for Team A. I just think he's too likely to break down.JohnnyU said:How do you figure? Over the next 2-3 years...you have to draft like a champ for this trade to work.....Getting Jackson and Schaub for Crabtree...who has not proven a thing yet in what is going to look like a run heavy offense based on their 2010 draft...I like the jackson side.....late first rounders....tough to get blue chips down there. It's more like SJax and Schaub for Crabtree, Benn/one of the Tate's, Bradford and a 2011 1st. Giving the team SJax and Schaub probably means the 2011 1st won't be very high, but I still like the side getting Crabtree.Over the next 2-3 years...you have to draft like a champ for this trade to work.....Getting Jackson and Schaub for Crabtree...who has not proven a thing yet in what is going to look like a run heavy offense based on their 2010 draft...I like the jackson side.....late first rounders....tough to get blue chips down there. Everything you post just comes out in Kevin's voice in my head.Just read your quote above and put it in Kevin's voice. "Oscar...thats a great deal. I just offered the 5th pick in the first round for Benson and was rejected."Its not a funny quote, but when Kevin says it, it cracks me up.I offered the 1.05 for Benson and was rejected.JohnW1970 said:Gave 1.07Got: Benson and 2.10Needed a RB2 to go with ADP
