2011 In Season Dynasty Trade Thread (1 Viewer)

12 team, non-pprgave: R Fitzpatrick, C Benson, W McGaheegot: F Gore, GrossmanI'm loaded at QB with Stafford and Ryan. Wanted a WIN NOW RB (since I have Thomas, Carter and Hunter waiting in the wings). Already have McFadden (and MBush) as my RB1.He needed a QB with Manning out. He also only has F Jackson at RB besides Gore.Would've done that trade without Grossman thrown in.Surprised he said yes to it, honestly. :)
I think I like the other side of that one. For a win now in a non-PPR, I think I'd rather have Benson this year. His schedule is ridiculously easy. With a rookie QB, Cincy will concentrate on the run whenever possible. I'd much rather have Fitz over Grossman. While Stafford and Ryan are better options in dynasty, Fitz may have been your 2nd best QB for a win now situation and with Stafford as your #1, Fitz may have soon been your #1. McGahee becomes a bonus.
Wow. I think Gore >>>>>> Benson + McGahee, both this year and next. I know Benson's schedule is easy but he's a plodder, not that Gore is lighting it up yet this year. I went with "buy low" on Gore assuming SF will get it together a bit more this year, and they play in the crappy NFC West.Sure, with Stafford's potential for injury, Fitz's mega stats would be nice to plug in, but I think Ryan is heating up and will end up at least even with Fitz by the end of the year.

I like the latter deal for you. Branch should be a WR3 going forward, and there's a huge chance Taiwan never amounts to anything. As for the former, I think you probably gave up just a little bit too much. I'm more down on Stewart than most, but I think Stewart + the 2 3rds would be about fair for Marshall. However, I can see doing the trade if you have a pressing need at WR and are set at RB for the next few years.

That's basically my line of thinking as well. At RB I've got McCoy and Forte, as well as Lynch and some young fliers. Only have to start 2. At WR I had Britt, Lloyd, and a bunch of WR3/4's at best. Now my lineup looks like:RyanMcCoy, ForteBritt, Marshall, Lloyd (or Branch)V. Davis (or Gonzo)etc. So it solidified some questionable depth into a top-10 WR that can help me win now and in the future. We'll see. I'll look dumb if Moore continues what he started the rest of the season...which I doubt.

I definitely like the deal a lot more knowing your WRs/RBs. Absolutely worth doing, and you even could have added some stuff to your side and still came out ahead.

Reggie Bush

3rd Round Pick (top 3)

for

1st Round Pick

Plaxico Burress

Forgot there was a 3rd round pick involved. Owner getting Bush was down to Woodhead and FJones as top 2 RB's and we have to start 2 RBs. Stacked at WR and TE. Prolly make the playoffs.

I'd have no fun playing in leagues where Stafford gets traded for Keller/Ward. I'd have to quit, lol.

During my dynasty startup back in August some first time dynasty player completed this deal, please respond with comments.

Gave 2012 1st and 25th round dynasty startup pick

Got Tandon Doss (who was taken in 23 round of startup) and 2012 2nd round pick

Note: The owner who traded his valuable 2012 1st for Doss quit after one week.

I'm starting to wonder if some re-draft trades are sneaking in here. Like that Stafford one.
4th year dynasty league. Team b owned Brady, Big Ben, Stafford and Dalton
Horrible dynasty trade for the team trading Stafford, JMHO. Really doesn't matter what his team looked like. Ward and Keller? He could and should have gotten more for Stafford. If I'm doin a 2-for-1 trading Stafford, I'm getting some skill position youth. Three years from now Hines will be on TV, Stafford will be 26, and this guy will be wondering why the heck did I trade Stafford for a TE?

Two trades went down in my dynasty league both involving an owner who has previously only made one trade (during the startup draft last season). Nice to see owners like that get more active. One of these trades involve my team. One doesn't.

.5 PPR

Team A gives Jonathan Baldwin and a 2012 4th rounder (likely mid to late 4th)

Team B gives Zach Miller (SEA)

Team A gives Michael Vick and a 2012 3rd rounder (likely mid to late 4th)

Team C gives Tony Romo and a 2012 1st rounder (likely top 4 pick)

Winners in bold. Miller is little more than a blocking TE now and even though I don't like Baldwin he has a lot more long-term value. Vick is a huge injury risk IMO and to get a 1st and a comparable QB is a steal.

He still got robbed. Should've moved Ben instead. Horrible, horrible trade.
You guys should have seen the trade *before* the Stafford one from the same guy:Bradford for M Barber and M FloydYes, you read that right. Sam Bradford for Marion Barber and Malcom Floyd. In a dynasty league. I guess the guy thought since he had Brady / Ben / Bradford / Stafford / Dalton that he had to turn some QB depth into other stuff. But yea, these were pretty bad.

Why would you draft all those QBs to begin with? Unlesss......was this guy's team the Wyoming Cowboys by chance?

just sent denarious moore for beanie wells - i'm definitely happy about it right now - but who knows, maybe denarious moore will be awesome, for right now though it's a 23yo starting RB with a high pedigree getting goal line touches for a WR that's 5/6 on my roster (calvin, nicks, holmes, j. jones, cobb) -

So he could trade for mediocre at best skill position players obviously

Non-PPR I hope.

Maybe it's a start 5 TEs league....

Team A Gave: Danario Alexander/'13 2nd rounder

Team B Gave: Dexter McCluster

Team A had JC, but has solid depth, won the league in '10, runner up I '09. Team B is rebuilding and had both Ryan Williams and Mikel Leshoure.

Gave:PowellGot:Hankerson
Do you have any hope for Hankerson? All I've seen and read about him is the bad drops. Hoping he's better than what he's shown thus far!
I do. He had a few bad drops in his first preseason game, which freaked people out, and then caught every single catch-able ball that was thrown at him the rest of preseason. I'm thinking it was the rookie jitters. He actually was one of the more productive rookie WR's when you look at the entirety of preseason--although he wasn't playing against starters like some were. Either way, he was known to have a problem with his focus coming out of school, which is why he fell to the 3rd. Luckily, for the first time in a long time, the Skins have the vets at WR to let him develop on the bench. I'm reminded of guys like Bowe, who had problems with drops early in their career, and still turned out to be WR1's. Hell, T.O. dropped balls pretty often. Not comparing Hankerson to the physical anomaly that is T.O., a HOFer, just saying that it can be overcome.Anyways, for the price of Bilal Powell? I'm buying at that price all day, if I have the time to let him develop. Which, if you invest in a rookie WR, you had better. Otherwise, you're just setting yourself up for failure. He got a bad rap immediately as a rookie, and to me, that creates a prime buy-low opportunity. Because its really tough to shake a first impression. Hell, everyone still calls Fred Davis "Sleepy" even though he's been a model player and teammate since that very first practice he over-slept as a rookie. That stuff dies hard. I think Hankerson will be fine, even if it takes a while. He was just so hyped as the "steal of the draft" for the Skins, that people forget he was only a 3rd round pick.

I like Powell since I'm a non-believer in Greene but would rather have Hankerson. Hankerson is a flashy player with a lot of upside, but he has questionable hands and route running.

I'm the guy getting Brees and Foster. Rice and Little were on my bench behind Calvin, AJ, and Steve Johnson. Also have Percy on the bench. Traded alot of depth to upgrade some starters.

I do not understand the other guys rationale at all. Can Sidney Rice and Greg Little be that great of an upgrade in his mind?? this looks shockingly bad for him, I don't see a way for him to explain it
