Rather see OLB than MLB but def. fast, physical and athletic. And I think he can play ouside. Rather have David, but he's worth a 2 so not a reach at all. I'm glad they continue to draft front 7 guys. With Cox, Ryans, and Kendricks, the front 7 should be MUCH better.

Gotta admit, that I don't know as much about him. But for Polian to call him bloodthirsty, I am interested. Would have preferred David, but very happy with upgrade at LB

LB Mychal Kendricks from Cal at #46
Where do you see that at? if so love it. He's the guy I wanted.
Twitter had it up first. They had a lot of good stuff to say about him. As soon as I saw his size I just thought of McCoy, Simeneu, Simms etc.
"Best 4-3 attacking linebacker in the draft besides Luke Kuechly" - Bill Polian on ESPN
No one ever said that about the guys I mentioned above I dont think

From Walter FootbalMychal Kendricks, OLB/ILB, California

Height: 5-11. Weight: 239.

40 Time: 4.41.

Bench: 24.

Vertical: 39.5. Broad: 10-7.

Arm: 31 5/8.

Projected Round (2012): 2-3.

4/25/12: Kenricks was the premier workout warrior among the linebackers at the Combine, and his performance sent a charge into his draft stock. He led the linebackers in the 40-yard dash with the fastest time for a linebacker in the past 12 years. Kenricks also led all linebackers in the broad jump and the vertical jump. In the field drills, he looked good moving around in space. Kendricks definitely helped himself. He continued that with a good pro day and has been rising up draft boards.

Kendricks had 107 tackles with 14.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks, two passes broken up and two interceptions this year. He increased his tackle total dramatically from 2010, but his sack production was nowhere near the same level as he moved to inside linebacker as a senior after being an outside linebacker in 2010. In the NFL, Kendricks may be best on the outside as he is undersized to be a middle linebacker. He could play some hybrid inside/outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense.

8/23/11: Mychal Kendricks broke out last season as a rush linebacker for California. He recorded 8.5 sacks with 15 tackles for a loss and 66 tackles. Kendricks could use some more size to play outside linebacker in a NFL 3-4 defense, but has quality blitzing kills and if he has another quality season, should solidify his mid-round status.

Mychal Kendricks on his height: “All I do is play big and shut ‘em up that way. It’s never been an issue for me, I don’t know why it would be an issue for anyone else.”

Move from 51 to 59...hope we can get Iloka/David/Curry there if we go whole-hog on D, or Randle/Miller if they want to add a playmaker on O. Lots of talent here, so don't mind getting the extra pick.

Would love to see David, & turn our LBs from an extreme weakness to a possible strength. But there are still quite a few good players left, do no real issue w/ trade down. Only fear, is that they traded down & are now going to take a QB

Word on the street is the Eagles were interested in picking up a qb - might make sense they're trading down in that case - last time we picked up a qb (Kolb) we traded down and still got him. Not a great memory though, lol.

Wouldn't it be something if they were targeting Ryan Broyles? I have no reason to think that...

Still need a DB and QB though...

moving from 51 to 59 is fine by me, and worth the 4.

Any thoughts on Josh Robinson, CB UCF to replace that other CB from UCF we just traded to ATL?

(HOMER...I work at UCF! But CB is a need)

DH where are you?

We need some insight as to what is going on. Loving the draft so far, but always love your comments prior to our picks.

LB David, CB Johnson both solid "need" picks. Love to get Miller at RB, though. He would make a great 1-2 with Shady.

Any love for Osweiler here? LOTS of talent available.

Looks like we got their 2nd round pick and their 4th round pick. Meh. Don't really get that.
Fans never want to trade down but if there isnt someone you really like or someone you do like who you think is going lower its smart to move down and get an extra pick IMO
:goodposting: I'd trade down 3 times to every 1 trade up.
They get the 4 back they gave to Seattle yesterday - They spent only a 6th to move up to grab Cox- Amazing

I'd take Os or Cousins here. Love the leadership skill set and other things from a QB. Hoping for Pierce, James or Rainey at RB.

Nice addition to the DE rotation. Babin, Cole, Parker, Graham, Curry is sick!

4 solid additions to the front 7 (Ryans, Kendricks, Cox, Curry) make the D so much stronger.
