I'm with cstu on this one. Having a new legit #1 WR in town has to hurt more than it helps Williams.I guess my dream of turning Williams into something close to the trade listed above just went up in smoke.(unless someone in my league has a view similar to loose circuits, I guess. Not counting on that, though...)I don't understand this, the good comes with the bad. Legit. Non PPR league, however that is not a big deal to me because it just brings all wr's down a notch in overall scoring. Not like it is just Non PPR for Cruz.Yeah that makes no sense. The pick will likely be top 4. He was #2 in 2011 and the only RB he has is Forte. Qb Schaub, TE Gonzalez. He does have Calvin Johnson however. No way this is a playoff team. Did I mention it's non-ppr? Michael Turner outscored Cruz in this league in 2011. I won this league last year too, so I have a strong team and could afford to give a little to get what I want. Noel didn't do his first post any justice by leaving out some very important details. I guess he wanted to shed the best light possible on his side of the trade. I'm gambling his team will suck and the pick will be great. Taking risks is part of the game of FF.Legit. I'm in the league too, and that's a trade Noel needs to make 10 times out of 10. Trading a future first for a top WR and getting a backup RB with a little talent as a throw-in? Easy.A lineup including Schaub, Forte, Calvin, Cruz, and a few other potentially strong options like Helu, Holmes, or Torrey Smith... that's a fringe playoff contender in his division. I personally expect the pick to be in the 4-6 range, and that's a pick I trade for Cruz/Jones in a heartbeat. I imagine he's not done making moves yet, either, and it wouldn't completely suprise me if it ends up being a playoff team. The pick will likely be top 4. I won the league and have a strong team, so I can take the gamble. I personally feel Cruz will regress some this year and since it's a non-ppr league, it's worth the gamble. I'm always thinking one or two years ahead. I have Nicks, Jennings, Julio Jones, Decker and you can only start 3 of them. Throw in Ray Rice, MJD, Brees, Finley, and picks 1.04, 1.05, 1.08, and 2.01, I should continue to be strong. Like I said, it's a gamble trade, but one I'm willing to make in a non-ppr league. Wow love offseason! Lol didn't know we used real names here ... my cover is blown.I never said this team would compete with you or Stu, but three make playoffs. A team of Shaub, Forte, Helu , Calvin and Cruz has no shot in hell? I wishful think too when I own someone else's pick. A lot can happen either way though. Hearing all these details of the league and your side of the story makes the trade more understandable. Having said that, I still think it was a pretty bad deal. If that was your thought process with Cruz, there's no reason you wouldn't have been able to trade him straight up for a future first. As for the first deal, I think its fair. I'm a Stafford believer and also think that CJ will bounce back. The deal really depends on how you value Foster. The guy can play no doubt and is the best when he's healthy, but I think this year will prove his value if he can play a full season.I like the 2nd trade a lot. Brees is aging and with all the NO drama and him being tagged, it scares me. You get a decent QB in return as your QB2. How does your "rookie" draft work? I just wonder seeing that you traded Blackmon in the previous deal. I don't like this trade. Moore had a good year despite QB woes. A full offseason with Palmer and the sky is the limit. He showed his skills IMO. Plus you give up Quiz who's got a chance to play a bigger role behind an ever aging Turner. Then downgrade the 1.08 to a 1.11...I'm not as high on Jordy as others. I agree that A is the short term winner...but I still don't think Jordy is top 10 again. Moore has the potential to be the WR1 in Oakland for some time. Denarius and Quiz are both high upside young players but I doubt either become a top 10 player at their position which Jordy did in 2011.
The players available at 1.08 and 1.11 will be in the same tier of talent most likely so that's close to a wash.

In a 16 team league, having a high end QB like Drew Brees is huge, much more valuable than the 1.03 in my mind. The 1.10 > 1.16 and 2.11 as well, so I would much rather be on the Jambo Broncos side.If however, the team giving up Brees isn't in a "win now" mode, then I can understand it (but think he could have gotten more).Really curious to hear thoughts on this. 16 team .5 PPR dynasty (I wasn't involved)Jambo Broncos gave up:Year 2012 Draft Pick 1.03Year 2012 Draft Pick 1.16Year 2012 Draft Pick 2.11Dunedin Buccaneers gave up:Brees, Drew NOS QBYear 2012 Draft Pick 1.10I should add that the Team that got the 1.3 has a deal in principal to move up to 1.02 for the late second rounder
