Marcus Davis is 6'3 233- 19 reps and just ran a 4.4 unofficial. If he had a head he'd be a star in this draft.
It all depends where he ends up with this guy. I'll pay attention to h after the draft.
Totally agree. I'd love the Eagles to get him in the 3rd but his measurables alone should get him into round 2.
Followed it up with a 4.53.
He should run another one.

Don't know about that. Is he different then Junior Hemingway last year?

I didn't think he ran a 4.4 and he's not as big as Davis either

6 7/8 230 4.5 40 yd dash and he was a 7th rounder. Guess Streeter would have been a better example at 6- 4 7/8 220 and a 4.4 who became a 6th rounder. Bottomline is that the eye in the sky doesn't lie. If they don't have production and consistency on tape then they wont be drafted that high. I think everyone expected Davis to have a unique size/speed combo. However, it is tough to be a wr when you fight the football

Agreed and his head isn't there. I shouldn't have said 2nd round. He'd probably a 5-6 at best because of his head and lack of aggression.

I usually don't watch the combine but it has my Mountaineers on it so I want to see how good they are. But yeah the NFL Network is so confusing because you really can't tell what is live and what is recording. I mean not only did they show Tavon Austin 40 twice they shows the discussion before and after as well word for word. Was disappointed to hear Mayock says that he doesn't see a future for Colin Klein. I don't see him as a converted running back or receiver so hopefully the NFL doesn't listen and gives him a chance.

Feel like I need to take a longer look at Mark Harrison. Really nice size/speed combo.
Me too. I like the body control he has when catching the ball, it just hits his hands and stops and he doesn't even flinch. I want to see if he looks as natural and firm catching in pads on film.

I saw a lot of WVU games and Smith almost never ran -- a few times when he had acres of space in front of him. He's got the tools to be a dual-threat guy, but I'm not sure he's a runner at heart. He's also pretty lean to be getting pounded on as a runner.

Yeah the speed surprised me. One of the big worries is that people are expecting an RG3 or Kaepernick kind of QB in the NFL and that isn't him. I wasn't sure that he even had Russell Wilson speed. His strength is the arm and the accuracy of the deep ball. I find it interesting that people talk about this man confidence because at the end of the year he seems to completely lost it at the end of the year and that Pinstripe Bowl. Of course it was mostly frustration because how awful the D was but there was a lot of moping on the field it seemed.

Lots of fast times this year. Even the "big" receivers like Rogers, Harper, and Davis all running sub 4.5. Pretty much everyone and their brother running at least 4.4. Almost makes me wonder about the timing method compared to previous years.

Getting back to Mark Harrison, I'm seeing 6-3 231 with 35 inch arms (longest in class) and an official 4.46. Talk about a nice combo of size and speed. Anyone have an opinion on this guy?

Official times from NFL.com. These seem to make more sense than the preliminary numbers:Goodwin - 4.27Austin - 4.34Swope - 4.34Boyce - 4.38Stills - 4.38Patterson - 4.42Hunter - 4.44Wheaton - 4.45King - 4.47Wilson - 4.51Woods - 4.51Bailey - 4.52Rogers - 4.52Williams - 4.52Patton - 4.53Harper - 4.55Davis - 4.56Hopkins - 4.57

These official times are such bull. There's no way Ryan Swope ran the same time as Tavon Austin. I wanna see that photo imposed race.

Yeah, seems a bit fishy.

Official times from NFL.com. These seem to make more sense than the preliminary numbers:

Goodwin - 4.27

Austin - 4.34

Swope - 4.34

Boyce - 4.38

Stills - 4.38

Patterson - 4.42

Hunter - 4.44

Wheaton - 4.45

King - 4.47

Wilson - 4.51

Woods - 4.51

Bailey - 4.52

Rogers - 4.52

Williams - 4.52

Patton - 4.53

Harper - 4.55

Davis - 4.56

Hopkins - 4.57
The time itself isn't so bad but I didn't expect so many guys to run faster than him. I won't drop him in my rankings but some other guys have tightened the gap I had. Also, 8 reps for Patton is disappointing. Not as bad as Wright's 4 last year but it's low.

Ace Sanders is taking huge hit with a 4.58, not good enough for a 173 lb. receiver.

Knile Davis has made himself a lot of money this weekend. Much more compact than expect and just ripped off a 4.30 unofficial.
