Didn't want to cover. Half the team will be in Vegas tomorrow.Seemed a little odd how OKC never fouled to slow it down with only a 4 point deficit.
I don't jump on the Tim ball bustin wagon as much as others, but this is quality right here."Sir you dialed 911 for this?"
Miracles can happen, unless you give up, right?Nice to see OKC just give up the last 40 seconds.
Yes, it's much better this way. FIBA games have such a better flow. The rule that allows a player to call timeout to bail himself out while the ball is in play. Can't do it under FIBA rules. Much better game when you can't call timeout in the run of play.
I don't believe they're the best team ever. I think the Jordan Bulls or the Shaq Lakers defeat them most of the time, honestly.4 more wins and the Warriors stamp their mark as the best team ever.
Steph Curry might be the most exciting basketball player ever.
It is fascinating to me that the Shaq Lakers don't get more "greatest of all time" love. Who on this warriors team would keep him from 40/20 every night?I don't believe they're the best team ever. I think the Jordan Bulls or the Shaq Lakers defeat them most of the time, honestly.
I don't want to denigrate Golden State in any way. But I've always hated this meme that the team with the best overall record is the "best team ever". It's almost never true.
That's more of a college tactic. With only 24 seconds on the shot clock, it's usually a better decision to just play hard on D and hope to force a turnover or a missed shot.Seemed a little odd how OKC never fouled to slow it down with only a 4 point deficit.
Thanks TimNo taking away from this GS team, they're great, as if 73 wins doesn't say it, coming back from 3-1 against a quality OKC team... Really impressive.
You can argue it, sure... I'd disagree, but I can understand the argument. Still don't think anyone is better than the Jordan/Pippen & co. Bulls.4 more wins and the Warriors stamp their mark as the best team ever.

Hated Jordan but seems his Bulls are clearly ahead. So Warriors had 1 more win in regular season. Ok, big deal, Bulls are going to have a better playoff record and he certainly didn't see his team go down 3-1 with 2 massive blow outs. Knicks won an OT game and Sonics won 2 but after being down 3-0 so not really worrying. Counting regular season and playoffs and Bulls ended with 13 loses, Warriors have 14.
Guess I'm missing why Warriors would be best ever, actually had doubt they would make the finals in this series, wasn't any doubt for the Bulls team as much as I wanted there to be.
They were doing a good job until the Ibaka foul on the three, that pretty clearly put it away. After Durant missed the next shot (to his credit, he went quick), you could see that the team had checked out. Maybe Donovan saw that and didn't want to prolong it. Closing a 7 point gap in a minute with Curry shooting a lot of FT's seems near-impossible. It's already near-impossible against a good, Curry-less NBA team. That's more of a college tactic. With only 24 seconds on the shot clock, it's usually a better decision to just play hard on D and hope to force a turnover or a missed shot.
Curry is about a 90% FT and Thompson is like 87% from the line and both are excellent at selling a shooting motion when getting fouled. Not really worth it to foul either one of those two to stop the clock.
Nailed it.He used to be an unstoppable scoring machine. Now, not so much.
Ok, he doesn't suck, but not the player he was.
Ibaka didSeemed a little odd how OKC never fouled to slow it down with only a 4 point deficit.
Best record ever and a presumptuous 2nd straight title puts you in the conversation at a minimum. I'd still favor the Bulls but I'm biased towards Jordan.Guess I'm missing why Warriors would be best ever, actually had doubt they would make the finals in this series, wasn't any doubt for the Bulls team as much as I wanted there to be.
Your face is dumbA great series has been in the can for like 20 minutes and (probably) another great series is going to start in three days, and people still want to have the dumb Best of All Time arguments. Seriously considering quitting this thread for like the fourth time.
NBA should also borrow 14 second resets and clear path=flagrant from them.Yes, it's much better this way. FIBA games have such a better flow.
Which way do you go on goaltending?NBA should also borrow 14 second resets and clear path=flagrant from them.
Job openings like replacing Skip Bayless's chair on "First Take" don't happen often, but it still doesn't excuse all the people auditioning for that job in here.A great series has been in the can for like 20 minutes and (probably) another great series is going to start in three days, and people still want to have the dumb Best of All Time arguments. I think the Warriors get bonus points because they are doing this with the added pressure of being the defending champs, a pressure the Bulls did not have in 1995-1996.You can argue it, sure... I'd disagree, but I can understand the argument. Still don't think anyone is better than the Jordan/Pippen & co. Bulls.
Still way better than the ECF.Put me in the camp that says this series wasn't that great. Sure, it went 7 games, but a few of them weren't competitive at all, and none of them went down to the buzzer.
I'm good either way. Didn't happen as often as you would think.Which way do you go on goaltending?
Fair point. The Bulls get bonus points for having Michael ####### Jordan.I think the Warriors get bonus points because they are doing this with the added pressure of being the defending champs, a pressure the Bulls did not have in 1995-1996.
You know else got a blow during halftime?Surprised Durant not getting a blow right now.
BTW how do I block the ESPN twitter feed on the right column? Do I need to stop using ESPN to look at box scores? His Twitter takes are uncut lava-poop.Job openings like replacing Skip Bayless's chair on "First Take" don't happen often, but it still doesn't excuse all the people auditioning for that job in here.
This is an excellent question and I too an interested in the answer.BTW how do I block the ESPN twitter feed on the right column? Do I need to stop using ESPN to look at box scores? His Twitter takes are uncut lava-poop.

Bogus call vs Ibaka right there. You don't make that call in this situation, giving Steph 3 pts. Very weak
It was throwing Durant off, too. Looked like he was trying to read Westbrook's phone and answer inane reporter questions at the same time.Westbrook's texting during the press conference.![]()
I think the only way he was gonna jump ship is if this season was just a complete tire-fire. Out in 7 to GS in the WCF is good enough for him to come back I think.Tommy Gunz now on Dirant to Lakers watch. Please start a blog and pm me the link, TIA
He's going to the Lakers, guy.I think the only way he was gonna jump ship is if this season was just a complete tire-fire. Out in 7 to GS in the WCF is good enough for him to come back I think.
I think it's OKC then a biiiiiiig gap, then Miami and San Antonio, then another pretty big gap, then Golden State, and then all of the scrubby bottom-feeding teams.
