Congrats to Golden State fans on here.  Your team was just too good.  We will try and get better and come back next year.
Do your fingers hurt? That was a lot of typing. I thought at one point you were going to have a whole page to yourself.

Little solace right now for LeBron but that last meaningless pass for a 3 pointer gave him exactly 50 assists for the series and LeBron is the first player in NBA history to average a triple double for an NBA finals series.
I actually think that will be very meaningful to him tonight.  I wouldn't undersell it

LeBron's Finals averages this year: 34 ppg, 12 rebs, 10 assts. Shot 56% from the field and 39% from 3. Can't expect one guy to do much more.

from Bruce Feldman

absolutely crazy how good he is

So ESPN fires a bunch of their top reporters, then parent #abc sends a washed up school teacher to ask post game questions. #NBAFinals2017

As much as I would have loved to have seen the Dubs play the Cavs in a true trilogy without KD....I don't think the Dubs would have won without him.

After suffering through 17 non-playoff teams in 18 years, 2 championships in 3 years is unreal. I hope the team stays focused and together so that they can string a few more together and become the best team ever.

This almost makes up for all the Vontego Cummings/Adonal Foyle/Andris Biedrins years.

Cosmic retribution will be complete with three more.

I think it's interesting that before the game Kerr took some criticism from Nate Duncan (among others) for sticking with his regular-season rotation and not playing his best players enough. Namely sticking with Pachulia and Ian Clark and only playing the death lineup for a total of something like 17 minutes over the first four games. Kerr responded that the death lineup was an "in case of emergency break glass" kind of adjustment and he was again criticized for waiting until the team was behind to make changes. Coach Brown was lauded for being more aggresive.

This game David West played more than Zaza and they played without a center for the majority of the game. McCaw took Clark's minutes (the second most off the bench, even more than Livingston) and Iguodala played 38 huge minutes.

I don't know if Nate Duncan's criticism specifically had anything to do with it but I'll applaud Kerr once again for being willing to listen and make those changes proactively. I think if the Warriors stuck with their earlier strategy they may have lost the game and with that maybe the series. These teams were closer than 4-1 makes it look.
