2016-2017 Battle for Shining Path's Cup - SEVENTH YEAR Playoffs! (1 Viewer)

BeatDown Brigade

  • QB Luck, Stafford
  • RB McCoy, Mathews, Sproles, Langford, J. White, Allen
  • WR Green, Marshall, Matthews, J. Brown, Fuller, Abbrederis
  • TE Kelce, Clay
  • D SEA, BUF
OK team.  Got a top flight QB with a good back-up.  Pretty good but injury prone RB, with a couple of good flyer RBs.  2 very good WRs, some other solid receivers, and some upside guys.  Got my #2 or 3 TE after Gronk and maybe Olsen, and the defense I wanted.

Worst. Draft. Ever.

Bottom line:
With great inseason management, we think you have about a 80 percent chance of making the playoffs.
With good inseason management, we think you have about a 70 percent chance of making the playoffs.
With average inseason management, we think you have a 57 percent chance of making the playoffs.
That is strange to me.  You're good at QB and I imagine your team is the best at RB.  Edleman is a PPR machine and Hurns a TD monster.  With Luck back Hilton should be back up.  You got one of the best TEs and a great team D.  I guess it's just the PPR factor.

I'm always hard on my drafts... especially when they don't go as planned (I like to go heavy WR in PPR leagues).  But thanks!

Well take what I said with a grain of salt!  They hate my team too.

We'll start by complimenting you on your strength at quarterback, receiver, and tight end. As you know, it's very difficult in a competitive league to assemble a team that is strong at QB, RB, and WR, so just about every team will have a weakness. As you probably suspect, we perceive yours to be at running back.

Bottom line:

  • With great inseason management, we think you have about a 75 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With good inseason management, we think you have about a 65 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With average inseason management, we think you have a 49 percent chance of making the playoffs.

Great job Andy. I for one had a few issues drafting and apologize for my late picks early on and my continued drafting of players already taken. This experience has been a real eyeopener as to my inadequacy as a fantasy team owner. I shall strive to do better in the future. #HumbleShtickOver

2016 Red-Skinned Natives:

Rivers/Cousins

Forte/Lacy+Starks/Woodhead/Ch.Sims/Chr.Johnson

OBJ/A.Cooper/Moncrief/Mi.Floyd/Funchess/Tyr.Williams/Dav.Adams

Gates+Henry

Texans

I'm fairly certain that if Andy didn't pick for Y23F at the 10/11 turn, I would have wound up with either Bilal Powell or Michael Thomas, and my Team would be slightly better for it, but overall I'm very pleased. Funchess at 11.03 is a decent consolation prize. Came into the Draft shooting for Forte/Powell and Lacy/Starks. Landing both Woodhead and Sims is a windfall. As were Moncrief and Michael Floyd. I'm not a Chargers fan, but I'm a big fan of their offense this year (Rivers, Woodhead, Tyr.Williams, Gates+Henry). There aren't enough spots in a Starting Lineup for all my PPR Studs, but I'm not going to have any trouble fielding a quality Team when the bye weeks start rolling. gllllpeeeeaasss...

QB:  Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Fitzpatrick

RB:  Duke Johnson, Dion Lewis :censored:  , Frank Gore, Jonathan Stewart, Terrance West, Jordan Howard, Paul Perkins

WR: DeAndre Hopkins, Jarvis Landry, Emmanuel Sanders, Torrey Smith, Mohamed Sanu, Tyler Boyd

TE: Dwayne Allen, Zach Miller

D: Minnesota

Playoff matchups set

#1 Hit 'Em With The Hein

#2 Orange County Odible Owlets

#3 Beatdown Brigade Vs #6 Code Reds (who make it in by 5 total points!)

#4 Higgins Ovvn and Shoot vs #5 IC Alkies

This was probably the worst redraft I've ever done. I had the right idea with RB in the 1st but should have had the courage to select D Johnson instead of Gurley. Oth well, there's always next year...unless there's not.

:goodposting:  Points, schmoints; I have a hard time with a 5-8 Team getting into the Playoffs ahead of a Team with a winning record...

Good Luck.

Signed,

First among losers
In a Zealots league the team that was both top scorer and #1 all play nearly missed the playoffs. That's dumb. If you scored a lot of points, you drafted well and should make it.

Our resident hugger made it in by 9 points, right?

How did I make the playoffs? My 1st rndr (Gronk) misses half the year, my 2nd rndr (Keenan A.) misses the whole year, and my 3rd rndr (Jordan Reed) misses half the year... you people are slipping...

Another season in the books. Thanks for playing, everyone. I hope to do better next year.

CONGRATULATIONS KEEROCK!!! THIS FANTASY FOOTBALL THING DOESN'T HAVE YOU FRIGHTENED OR CONFUSED AT ALL!!!

Have I ever won this thing?  I feel like my first round pick every year gets hurt and then my team scrapes by for the rest of the year but I can't remember for sure.

I don't think so. I think I won once before we called it the Shining Path Cup. Which means the win is irrelevant.

We need someone to take a spot in our long running FFA league that doesn't play for money. Yankee thought you'd either be good at it or good cannon fodder. Either way we'll take it. Interested?
Totally. I may be a touch behind on fantasy players.  Is Elway available?
