***2016 FBG T-shirt exchange - OFFICIALLY COMPLETE WITH 100% PARTICIPATION** (1 Viewer)

@sbonomo Glad they made it.

Flying Tiger is one of 2 new craft breweries we are getting in the area. They are in construction stage of getting their location set up. I visited the location to pick up the shirt from the owners, who were very nice guys. I liked the back of the shirt as well. It says "Drink Heroic Beer". He says they'll have new shirts coming out soon, so I'll be ready for next year's exchange. Hopefully the other brewery will be up and running also (they're not quite as far along in the official business set up phase) and maybe both will have some packaged products available.

Fieldhouse is a local establishment started by a guy who played football at ULM, our local Division 1 university. A few NFL stars played their college ball at ULM, namely Stan Humphries, Roosevelt Potts, and Bubby Brister. The food at Fieldhouse is all excellent. The atmosphere is nice also. Several TVs, one giant projector screen, a party room that you can reserve, and even small TVs at the some of the tables. Great place to eat and hang out.

I have a few friends in the Admissions office at ULM, so acquired some bonus swag there. There should have been a keychain in there as well.

The cup and mardi gras beads came from our local parade this year. It's nothing like the real mardi gras in New Orleans, but it gets a little better each year as more people start to "get" what it's all about, having a good time. Threw that in for a little taste of Louisiana.

Thanks again good buddy.  Next time I am out to see Tipsy, we'll have to get together so I can treat you to a beer!

Have been slacking. 12 hour night shifts are killing me. I got all the stuff, and have it in a box, but need to get it sealed, addressed and in the mail. Will have it in the mail on Thursday, at the latest.

Mine will be shipping out to Japan this week. That probably limits the stalkee list a little bit and restricts the beverages.
Mailed mine out today. USPS Express Mail box. Should take about 5-10 days for delivery. Stalkee is aware since I had to confirm some customs requirements. Spreadsheet updated.

Had a box put aside to ship stuff and the wife threw it out.     The concept of sending stuff to some dude from the internet that I don't really "know" confuses her.  Will buy a box from USPS and get everything shipped out tomorrow.

my wife and I had a similar conversation last year.  She seemed confused that I would want to wear a t-shirt from a place I've never been, sent from a dude (or dudette) I didn't know, from a city I might not even like.  I'm still wearing a Longhorns t-shirt from last year and I really don't like UT.

Glad you liked it!  We have quite the brewery boom down here.  Due south has the best shot of becoming south floridas ballast point.  Copperpoint is a local joint with an incredible tap room.  Dixe was just a resturaunt two years ago but the son took it over from his parents.   He expanded the bar to have 70'handles and he's filled them with all local craft beers and started brewing his own.
You and I must be in the same neighborhood now. Have you been to Tequesta Brewing/TBC or Twisted Trunk/PGA?

Got my package from Righetti

Couple good shirts, one is an abstract (custom made?) shirt with what I'm guessing is the NY subway system.  Other is a #TeamRiley FBG shirt, good stuff.  Need to take a couple pics.

Thanks bud.

My wife is the same.  I didn't even tell her about it this year, but she'll figure it out when I get a package.

I wear at least one of the Philly T-shirts from Billy Bats each week and use my beer glass almost daily.

Picking up the last item tonight and shipping tomorrow to my stalkee.

Got my box o' loot last night but didn't have time to post pics. Let me just say that psychobillies is THE MAN. Seriously great haul, and he somehow figured out that I like stouts because there's a big ol' bottle of it in the box. My wife is itching to try the blueberry syrup as well. Sweet, sweet, package of goodies. I'll get the pics up tonight or tomorrow, but a big shout out to ya, my man

We are in crunch time now folks. According to the spreadsheet there are about 23 people who still have not sent a shirt. I know there are a lot of people planning to send this weekend, so please make sure you do, and please be sure to update the spreadsheet in the OP if you've sent something.

Also, if you've received something, check the spreadsheet and make sure your stalker updated their "sent" column to "yes." If not, go ahead and do it for them.

I am leaving town for almost two weeks starting Tuesday, so I will not be able to monitor things quite as closely. I will stay on the people who haven't sent yet though, and hopefully they will get it taken care of early next week.

Did I put a note in there?  Not a whole lot of explanation necessary, but I did type something up and I'm pretty sure I didn't pack it.  The syrup was a last minute add in.  It's pretty good stuff.  It's local and it's definitely blueberry season here so I figured it would be appropriate.  Enjoy!

I love how I'm always at the top of the shart list. Alphabetical order down people?

Quality outshines delivery date every time.

It was just such a disaster last year with a lot of people not getting anything. It really sucked for them.
I don't disagree and I look forward to the lynchings. And you've done a fine job in this.  It's one of my favorite things on the board next to the yoga pants thing.

West Boynton/Lake Worth.... I'm posting from Copperpoint as I type this.

ive had both beers but have not been to the breweries.

I have a new favorite T shirt!  (Baby maker

Big worm  (is it just @Worm here? ) did awesome :)

Two shirts, three beverages to try.  The jalapeño pale ale sounds interesting and I'm sure I'll enjoy the hopitali-tea. :D

Will take pics later.

Eta: it's funny that my stalker is from NC, where we lived the last 4 years.  (Less than 180 miles away)

Picked up my last items this afternoon.  Should go out tomorrow.   If someone is posting that it will go out soon, they should not be banned. The others, #### em.

I'm really hoping we avoid any banning from FBG for t-shirts. Now banning from next year's exchange is another story...

Delivery set with UPS Ground for arrival in WI on Tuesday 7/19 - will be at Staples tomorrow to make the drop off in advance of their pickup.  Will be the first of two packages - but the main one that qualifies for making the shipping deadline with the T-Shirt.  Will need the weekend to setup a 2nd shipment that will contain some  :banned: for consumption.  Spreadsheet updated with Part 1 details - will update when we have liftoff.

Have also sent a PM to my buddy in WI to alert him as well - will also post the tracking number once it is on the way.

Need details on the beer delivery. I'm not opposed to sending out a 2nd batch of goodies. I have a couple local style here very proud of. Would even send a growler chilled on dry ice. But the cost gets a little steep, still would be worth it for the results.

I apologize to my stalkee.  In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have signed up for this at the time I did (I posted in another thread about my mom's health and the time I've been spending there).  Things finally are in a good spot and of course I got Hand Foot Mouth from my son last week who got it from God knows where (he's not in daycare).  I don't wish this on my worst enemy (the first 2-3 days are like the flu x 10 and every day since has been like having poison ivy x 1000 -- oh and did I mention the epididymitis?  yes, my left ball hurts when I so much as breathe).

I've never not sent anything out in one of these and this won't be the first.  But I won't be meeting the deadline.  I'm sorry.

This is how I feel right now

Haha I hoped you'd chuckle at the baby maker shirt based on my brief stalking.

All four brewery's are great. OMB is a traditional German brewery. They have a celebration coming up celebrating the German beer philosophy which is just the four main beer ingredients...water, hops, malt, and yeast. That's all they use, and the beer is great.

The jalapeño was my favorite local brew before I recently found and tried the Hospitali-tea. Honey and black tea leaves in an amber-ish brew. Its so good. Its got a sweetness but to me is super drinkable. Hope you like them both, let me know what you think.

Cheers. :banned:

Just a collection of brews from NY/NJ/PA.  Debated including with the T-shirts, but decided that I did not want my entire delivery impounded because I threw a couple of brews into the box to represent.

Sounds horrible! Do you think you can get something together next week sometime?

You are good! This is a "t-shirt exchange," nothing more. Anything besides a t-shirt is considered above and beyond.
