2016 - Hillary Clinton vs Jeb Bush (1 Viewer)

who are you voting for?

  • Hillary Clinton

    Votes: 103 60.6%
  • Jeb Bush

The budget situation is only going to be worse in 2016 so I have a hard time seeing a Democrat elected again.

I really don't want to see another Bush though. No offense to Jeb, but I think his brother tainted the pool.

You may not want him but he's the candidate with the best chance to win. Anyone who voted for Romney this time is going to vote for Bush. All he needs to do is soften the Republican stance towards Hispanics and it's all over.

I think there is zero chance Bush . I just don't see how a 3rd member of the Bush family could or should be in the WH

You could at least give Jon Stewart some props for giving you that idea.
I've been saying this was going to be the matchup for over 4 years now...
Literally watched re-run from earlier and there was a skit working this angle. Not a serious shot.I think both parties would be fools to run either of those out in 2016. The other party simple go to the we have already seen this act before, but Hillary will 69 and still a divisive figure and Jeb while probably more appealling than W will still be more Bush in relative short historical time.

I think 2016 will be really interesting.

I'd say if Christie could take the next two years to attempt to lose some weight, he could pair up with Ricky Rubio really well. That would address the Latino vote the party desperately needs, and have in Christie more progressive but Republican candidate, which would be great for the party.

With that said, good freaking luck vs. Hillary and the angle of her being the first female president and her back up/VP, a 2 term president that America still loves to the point that he was helpful to the current Obama campaign.

You think Bill Clinton would be the VP candidate? I admire Hillary but have you seen her lately? She is gonna be really long in the tooth. I don't think...oh let's just discuss it in another couple years. I see Hillary running again but I don't see how she wins. Enough men will say No F'n way no matter what race they are.

My thought was, it's hard to hold the office after two consecutive terms. Putting up a former first lady, senator, and secretary of state coupled with a former two term president who is well liked would keep the party coming out in droves to vote. I think even if she was too old, playing the first female president and backup former president angle, it would be almost insurmountable for the Republicans to beat and keep them further out of the oval office. "Rock star" angle, if you will.

I don't know if I could bring myself to vote for another Clinton or Bush. Need some new blood, we aren't a monarchy where you can just push the same families over and over.

It would give the people who already think the world (especially america) is controlled by the New world order, Tri-Literal commission, Bilderberg group or whatever its going by these day some more "evidence."

The most likely match as of today:

Joe Biden vs. Rick Santorum

As the current VP, Biden is certainly a leader in the Democratic party and is in the loop. If people want a continuation of Obama, Biden will be the most likely choice.

The Republicans have been very consistent nominating whoever finishes 2nd in the primaries/caucuses previously. That would be Santorum, who, like Romney, can spend 7 years for a 2016 presidential run.

I don't think Hill runs. I also would be surprised if Jeb ran. I don't think Biden wins the nom. Too many good young Democrats to run. Also the GOP has some rising stars, no reason to run another Bush. This seems like a race for 4 years ago not 4 years from now.

What politician would want the Republican nomination? It looks like a lot of time, effort, and stress just to lose.

Zero chance for Jeb...the Dems have had a ton of mileage bashing his brother the last four years and even if it's a different person the name Bush is not a winner for the general population...Christie and Rubio are the two front-runners right now...the GOP needs charisma very badly and these two have it...Rubio's Latino background is only a plus and Christie's fat guy tell it like it is approach could be very welcoming after four more years of Obama...gotta say I don't buy for one second that any lefties will vote for him...they may talk the game right now but when push-comes-shove they will not vote for a R regardless of who it is...he will be villified by the left just like McCain and Romney were...

I have predicted that the party that wins 2012 will lose in 2016.

I voted for a Republican over a Democrat for governor this cycle. Present me with the better candidate get my vote.

I will believe it when I see...goes for both sides...there's a lot of political peer pressure going on and I don't think too many people have the balls to go against it...

Depending on the lay of the land, I'm going with Ted Cruz for the GOP nod. Fresh young face for a party that could use another rebranding. Supposed to be a genius and a stellar debater.

I think the Republicans should turn to Marco Rubio. The Republicans desperately need to close the gap with the Latino voters. George W Bush was able to do better among Latinos, so it can be done. They need to drop all this immigration crap because it's a political loser. There are far more important things that we should be worried about. The Latino population is going to continue to grow so they need to start trying to appeal to those voters.

Well I can tell you I wasn't the only Dem who switched sides in this election. At our monthly Liberal Agenda meeting several people were heard to say they were voting for the Republican because he was a moderate and a successful mayor while the Democrat was a weak candidate who had nothing to offer.

Gotta believe Cruz and Rubio (or another Latino) will be part of the ticket in 2016...they both seem to have some mojo and have consevative fans so it allows them to run a Latino without it being a pandering selection...

I guess I wasn't clear...I don't doubt at the local level it can happen but at at the Presidential level where the stakes are so high I am very skeptical of seeing legit Libs or Conservatives ever voting across the aisle...

Chris Christie could have a trail of dead hookers in Costa Rica and still be elected president in 2016.
His road to the GOP nomination was tough two weeks ago. It's tougher today. Who knows four years from now?
Apparently, I debuted my Christie/hookers/Costa Rica routine before passing out last night. Huh. No recollection of that whatsoever. But I don't think he's necessarily concerned with the GOP at this point. Look at the way he bent over their candidate. He has the potential to be the first serious third-party candidate. He also has the potential of having the base insist the party come to him. I think a lot of Republicans have had it with the party leadership and are ready for somebody who can unite and, most importantly, WIN. He could have given O a run for his money, if not won handily. There are people who voted D who would have voted for him. Not me, but many Rs who have been abandoning ship, like the three people in my own family who are registered Republicans but voted for Obama.Jeb Bush is right off the bat fighting a more uphill battle because of his name. It's a terrible idea.

If the GOP had run Huntsman I think I would have genuinely had a hard choice to make. Remember Liberals weren't/aren't really all that in love with Mr. Extra Judicial Killings either.

I like Huntsman.
