***2016 MLB Playoff thread: Cubs win for first time since sliced bread hit market (1 Viewer)

106 Pitches for Bumgarner - how much longer? Till his at bat? - he put one to warning track earlier
He's probably a better hitter than whatever pinch hitter they have. They should just little league it and put him in left field so he can still bat and they can bring him back to pitch if they need him in extras.

We may find out in this inning

I'd say another inning then Bochy is gonna play match-ups with his bullpen, meaning 12 pitching changes in a 30 minute period (90 with commercials).

At least Mets fans can enjoy the local chop shops and various urine smells right outside their park after the game.  That's something.

Cubs probably were rooting for the Mets, seeing Cueto and Bumgarner three times in a five game series is walking to school uphill both ways.

Terry Collins probably won't win manager of the year, but if I had a vote I would vote for him.  Wheeler, Matz, Harvey, and de Grom all dead for all, some, or part of the season and they still played tonight.

Two incredible games so far and don't even have to wait until the evening to see Tex Tor.
Four good match-ups IMO.  Giants will be the biggest dog but they have all the experience and two elite arms, so they have a shot in a 5 game series.  The other three series seem pretty damn even, all should be pretty fun.

39 hours to Kershaw and Scherzer, can't wait.  I'll be the drunk guy in the Nats hat.

The Mets (given they got past tonight) and Indians at full starting pitching strength would have been really fun to watch.

Terrible luck for the Mets last year having to face the best team in the league against power pitching last year and again this year with all those injuries.

They will be back next year if they can keep those arms fresh.

Ya... check out Texas and injuries... they were left for dead even before starters went down along with pen.  U/O was in low 70s late 60s at best pre season

Banister  did a much better job... or as you would say "lucky "

Texas preseason win total was mid 80s in Vegas and Fat ### dying was a mercy killing that benefited them.  What, you didn't get 30 starts from Colby Lewis?  Yeah that really hurt.

They were lucky, extremely lucky.  :banned: :popsanambien:

Also if you didn't know this, Mets and Rangers are in two different leagues.  There are TWO MANAGER OF THE YEAR AWARDS
